한국어 수업 참관을 위한 수업 관찰 도구 개발 연구

국문 초록

이 연구에서는 선행 연구에서 논의된 수업 관찰 내용을 검토하고 (예비·경력) 한국어 교사들의 인식 조사를 바탕으로 한국어 교육의 특성을 고려한수업 관찰 도구를 개발하고자 하였다. 선행 연구를 바탕으로 ‘교사 자질 및특성, 수업 내용, 수업 운영’의 상위 범주별로 세부 항목을 도출하고, 한국어 교사들을 대상으로 수업 관찰에서 중요한 항목이 무엇인지를 조사하였다. 중요 관찰 대상 항목이 무엇인지를 개방형 문항으로 조사하고, 본 연구에서 개발한 관찰 항목을 바탕으로 항목별 중요도를 평가하도록 하였다. 개방형 설문 분석 결과, 예비 교사는 ‘교사의 자질 및 특성’과 ‘수업 내용’ 을, 경력 교사는 ‘교사의 자질 및 특성’과 ‘수업 운영’을 중요하다고 생각하였다. 항목별 중요도 분석 결과로는 두 그룹 모두 범주별 세부 항목들을중요하게 인식하는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 여기에서는 ‘교사의 자질 및특성’의 세부 항목 중 ‘교사의 편안한 수업 분위기 조성’, ‘수업 운영’의 세부 항목 중 ‘돌발 질문이나 상황에 대한 교사의 대처 능력’, ‘수업 내용’의세부 항목 중 ‘도입 단계에서 지난 시간 수업 내용의 복습’, ‘연습 단계에서연습 활동의 명확한 지시’, ‘수업 마무리에서 적절한 평가 또는 확인’의 중요도 값이 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 이 연구의 수업 관찰 도구는 예비 교사를 위한 실습 과목의 교육 내용과 경력 교사를 위한 수업의 질적 향상을 위한 방안으로 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of the study aims to review the contents of the class observations discussed in the precedent researches and develop Korean language class observation tools based on the Korean language teachers' awareness survey. Based on the precedent studies, the detailed items of classroom observation were derived from the upper category of “teacher quality and characteristics, class contents, class operation”. The survey was based on what Korean teachers attach importance to in classroom observations and what items they value based on the observations developed in this study. In a subjective survey on class observation items, there were differences between prospective and experienced teachers; prospective teachers considered ‘teacher quality and characteristics’ and ‘class content’ important, while experienced teachers thought ‘teacher quality and characteristics’ and ‘class operation’ were important. However not many significant differences were perceived between these two groups when the observation items were presented classroom observation tools developed by this study. Yet, in detail, ‘teacher’s creating for class atmosphere’ among the details of ‘teacher's qualities and characteristics,’ ‘teacher's ability to respond to unexpected questions or conditions’ among the details of ‘class operation’, ‘review of past classes in the introduction stage,’ ‘clear instruction of exercise activities’ and ‘suitable evaluation or confirmation at the conclusion of the class’ among the details in ‘class content.’ showed significant differences. The results suggest that it will be essential to provide class observation tools and training for prospective and experienced teachers.
