국문 초록

본 연구는 오늘 이 시대를 끊임없은 갈등과 폭력의 시대로 규정하면서, 갈등과 폭력의 시대를 살아가기 위한 기독교 사회 윤리적 대안을 모색한다. 첫째, 본 연구는 한국 사회의 갈등과 폭력의 현실을 분석한다. 한 사회의 갈등과 폭력은 혐오와 배제의 메커니즘을 만든 사회학적 원인과 철학적인 차원에서 인간 정체성을 확립하는 과정에 그 원인이 있다. 한편 한국 사회가 특별하게 더 크게 드러내는 갈등과 폭력의 양상도 존재하는데, 본 연구에서는 최근에 벌어진 세 개의 ‘묻지마 폭력’ 사건을 통해서 이를 분석하고 있다. 둘째, 본 연구는 갈등과 폭력의 종류, 구조와 기능에 대해서 살핀다. 폭력의 종류는 직접적·구조적·문화적 폭력으로 나눌 수 있으며, 그 구조는 실행 이전 단계부터 실행, 그리고 실행 이후 단계까지 계속해서 벌어진다. 한편 갈등과 폭력은 완전히 없앨 수 있는 것이 아니므로, 그 순기능을 이해하면서, 현실적인 차원에서 갈등과 폭력에 대응하는 것이 필요하다. 끝으로, 이러한 현실적인 대응을 위해서 본 연구는 현실주의적인 차원에서 기독교 윤리적인 대안을 제시한다. 이에 본 연구는 감폭력의 윤리와 되기의 윤리를 그 대안으로 제시한다. 이와 같이 본 연구는 갈등과 폭력을 살아가고 있는 현대인들에게 기독교 윤리적인 차원에서의 현실적인 실천을 기대한다.

영문 초록

This study defines this era as an era of constant conflict and violence and seeks Christian Social ethical alternatives for living in this era of conflict and violence. First, this study analyzes the reality of conflict and violence in Korean society. Conflict and violence in society originate from sociological causes that create mechanisms of hatred and exclusion and the process of establishing human identity at a philosophical level. Meanwhile, there are also aspects of conflict and violence that are particularly evident in Korean society, and this study analyzes these through three recent ‘do not ask violence’ incidents. Second, this study examines conflict and violence’s types, structures, and functions. Types of violence can be divided into direct, structural, and cultural violence, and the structure unfolds continuously from the pre-execution stage to the implementation stage and the post-implementation stage. Since conflict and violence cannot be eliminated, it is necessary to understand their positive functions and respond to them realistically. Lastly, for this realistic response, this study presents a Christian ethical alternative from a realistic perspective. Accordingly, this study proposes the ethics of reducing violence and the ethics of becoming. In this way, this study expects realistic practice at the level of Christian ethics for modern people living with conflict and violence.
