국문 초록

Purpose : The purpose is to develop a disaster and safety education program to prevent disaster and safety accidents that may occur to rural community residents and to improve crisis response capabilities when accidents occur, and to verify its effectiveness, thereby providing basic data for the development of disaster and safety education programs. Methods : This study employed a single-group pretest-posttest experimental design and focused on 67 residents from a rural community. Nine training sessions, each lasting Every Monday for 2 hours, were conducted on the topic of disaster safety education. Data collection took place from August 19 to October 14, 2023, and was analyzed using SPSS 27.0, including frequency analysis, calculation of means and standard deviations, as well as paired t-tests. Results : As a result of applying the disaster and safety education program, the awareness of disaster safety was statistically significantly higher at 28.85±5.44 points before and 32.16±5.14 points after (t＝-5.16, p＜.001). Disaster and safety practice was statistically significantly higher at 73.93±8.91 points before and 80.73±7.78 points after (t＝-5.99, p＜.001). Self-efficacy was statistically significantly higher at 29.57±5.57 points before and 32.75±5.27 points after (t＝-4.37, p＜.001). Conclusion : This study is that it effectively provided disaster and safety education programs that had not been attempted before for rural community residents. It was found that education programs that take into account the characteristics of rural communities are easy to understand and require experience-oriented education and training.
