국문 초록

The design of “A History of Chinese and Western Maps” visually showcases the historical changes of Chinese and Western maps. Through carefully selected map samples and detailed explanatory texts, it showcases the development of map making technology and the deepening of geographical cognition. The clever combination of traditional and modern elements gives the work both a sense of historical weight and a sense of modern simplicity and beauty. Not only is it a book about map history, it also carries rich cultural and historical information. Through the study of maps, readers can gain a deeper understanding of the communication and interaction between Eastern and Western civilizations, as well as the cognitive process of human beings towards their living environment.

영문 초록

《中西方地图史》设计在视觉上展现了中西方地图的历史变迁，通过精心挑选的地图样本和详细的解说文字，展现了地图制作技术的发展和地理认知的深化。巧妙地结合了传统与现代的元素，使得作品既有历史的厚重感，又不失现代的简洁美感。不仅是一本关于地图历史的书籍，它还承载了丰富的文化和历史信息。通过对地图的研究，读者可以更深入地理解东西方文明的交流与互动，以及人类对于自身居住环境的认知过程。 书籍设计作品《中西方地图史》在2021 年第十八届山西设计奖中获得了书籍、印刷设计类别的一等奖。
