대학 벤처투자 역량의 조절 효과를 통한 기업가적 대학 성과에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 대학 벤처투자 역량이 기업가적 대학 성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 것으로 기업가적 대학의 대표 성과로 볼 수 있는 대학생 창업자 수에 대한 대학 벤처투자 역량의 조절 효과를 연구하기 위하여 대학생 창업 교육활동(독립변수)이 대학생 창업자 수(종속변수)에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고 그 사이에서 대학 벤처투자 역량(조절 변수)의 조절 효과를 알아보고자 전국 324개 대학교를 대상으로 실증 분석하였다. 연구 분석 결과, 대학생 창업 교육활동의 세부 변수 모두는 대학생 창업자 수에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 세부적으로는 창업 전공강좌 수, 창업 교양강좌 수, 창업동아리 수, 창업경진대회 수가 대학생 창업자 수와 정(+)의 관계가 있음을 확인하였다. 대학 벤처투자 역량의 조절 효과는 대학생 창업 교육활동 중 교과 활동으로 볼 수 있는 창업 전공강좌 수 및 창업 교양강좌 수에서만 통계적으로 유의한 정(+)의 효과를 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 대학생 창업 교육활동 중 비교과 활동으로 볼 수 있는 창업동아리 수 및 창업경진대회 수에는 통계적으로 유의하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 시사점은 대학 벤처투자 역량이 기업가적 대학 성과에 강화적 조절 효과를 미친다는 것이다. 따라서 대학은 기존의 교육 및 연구 분야를 넘어 실용적이고 경제적인 활동 주체로서 기업가적 대학 임무를 수행할 때 UVC(University Venture Capital) 역할까지도 확대하고 대학 벤처투자 역량을 강화하여 기업가적 대학 성과를 향상할 수 있음을 시사하였다. 세부적으로는 대학 벤처투자 역량 강화를 위하여 기술지주회사에 대학 내·외부의 우수한 인적자원을 확보 및 영입하고 재정 투자를 과감히 하여 혁신적이고 전문적인 벤처투자 역량을 갖춘 기술지주회사 중심으로 대학 發 창업을 활성화함으로써 우리나라 대학이 글로벌 스탠다드에 걸맞은 기업가적 대학으로 성장할 수 있도록 노력하여야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

This study investigates the impact of university venture investment capabilities on the performance of entrepreneurial universities, specifically examining the moderating effect of these capabilities on the number of university student entrepreneurs, which is considered a key outcome of entrepreneurial universities. To explore this, the study examines the impact of student entrepreneurship education activities(independent variable) on the number of student entrepreneurs(dependent variable) and investigates the moderating effect of university venture investment capability(moderating variable) across 324 universities nationwide. The results indicate that all detailed variables of university student entrepreneurship education activities significantly affect the number of student entrepreneurs. Specifically, the number of entrepreneurship major courses, entrepreneurship general education courses, entrepreneurship clubs, and entrepreneurship competitions all have a positive relationship with the number of student entrepreneurs. The moderating effect of university venture investment capabilities was statistically significant only in the curricular activities of entrepreneurship major and general education courses, while it was not significant in the extracurricular activities such as entrepreneurship clubs and competitions. The implication of this study is that university venture investment capabilities have a strengthening moderating effect on the outcomes of entrepreneurial universities. Therefore, universities should extend their role beyond traditional education and research to include practical and economic activities as entrepreneurial entities, emphasizing the importance of enhancing university venture investment capability, including the role of University Venture Capital(UVC). Specifically, universities should strengthen their venture investment capabilities by securing and recruiting excellent human resources inside and outside the university, and boldly investing financially in technology holding companies. By focusing on building innovative and professional venture investment capabilities through technology holding companies, universities can vitalize university-led entrepreneurship and strive to grow into entrepreneurial universities that align with global standards.
