국문 초록

본 연구는 초등학교 내 단독 특수학급에 근무하는 초임 특수교사의 어려움 및 지원 요구를 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 초등학교 내 단독 특수학급 에 첫 발령을 받은 초임 특수교사 7명을 대상으로 포커스그룹인터뷰(Focus Group Interview)를 실시하고 연속적 비교 분석법(Constant Comparative Method)을 활용하여 질적 분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과 4개의 카테고리, 14개의 대주제 하에 19개의 범주 가 도출되었다. 초임 특수교사는 지원의 부족과 관계 형성 등에서 어려움을 경험하고 있었으며, 체계화된 지원 제공과 교원양성기관에서의 변화 등을 요구하고 있는 것으 로 나타났다. 각 주제에 대한 분석을 통해 초임 특수교사의 어려움과 지원 요구를파악한 뒤, 이를 지원하기 위한 제언을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to explore the challenges and support needs of novice special education teachers working in standalone special education classes within elementary schools. To achieve this, focus group interviews were conducted with seven novice special education teachers who were first assigned to standalone special education classes in elementary schools. Qualitative analysis was carried out using the Constant Comparative Method. The analysis identified 4 main themes, which were further divided into 14 sub-themes and encompassed a total of 19 categories. The novice special education teachers were experiencing difficulties in aspects such as lack of support and building relationships, indicating a need for structured support provision and changes within teacher training institutions. Following the analysis of each theme to understand the difficulties and support needs of novice special education teachers, suggestions for providing support were presented.
