明 문인 관계망 속의 조선 문학

국문 초록

임진왜란 시기 조선과 명 문단 문인들의 직접적인 교류가 왕성하게 이루어졌다. 이때 두 나라의 사신들이 주축이 되어 직접적인 교류를 이어갔으며 그 관계에서 문학 교류의 성과가 높아졌다. 그 중심에는 주지번과 같이 조선 문학에 관심을 가진 명의 사신들이 주로 활약했으나, 명의 장수 중에서도 조선 문학에 관심을 가진 인물이 있었다. 바로 임진왜란 당시 조선에 經略으로 온 宋應昌이다. 그는 무관이었으나 학문과 문학에 관심을 가지고 있는 인물로, 조선에 오자마자 조선 문인들과 문학과 학문에 대해 토론하고 시문을 수창하기도 했다. 1593년 명에 돌아간 송응창은 항주의 문인결사조직 勝蓮社의 핵심 성원이었는데, 승련사에는 조선 문학에 관심을 가진 虞淳熙, 潘景升이 활동하고 있었다. 그들은 직접 조선 문인을 만난 적이 없지만 조선에 다녀온 丘坦을 통해 조선 문학에 관심을 가지고 승련사 성원들과 조선 문학에 관심을 표명했다. 그러나 조선에서 직접 조선 문인들을 만난 송응창은 두 아들과 함께 승련사 조직 내에서 조선 문학을 소개하는 데 일정한 역할을 하고, 조선 문학의 2차 전파에도 적지 않은 역할을 했을 것이라 짐작한다.

영문 초록

During the Imjin War, direct exchanges took place between literary figures from the Joseon and Ming dynasties. At that time, envoys from the two countries took the lead in direct exchanges, and the results of literary exchanges were high. At the centre were Ming envoys who were interested in Korean literature, such as Zhu Zhifan, but there were also Ming generals who were interested in Korean literature. This was Song Yingchang (宋應昌), who was sent to Joseon as a Jinglue (經略) during the Imjin War. Although he was a non-commissioned officer, he was interested in learning and literature, and as soon as he arrived in Joseon, he began discussing literature and learning with Joseon literati and reciting poetry. Upon his return to the Ming Dynasty in 1593, Song was an important member of the Shenglian Association (勝蓮社), a literary association in Hangzhou, China, which included Yu Chunxi (虞淳熙) and Pan Jingsheng (潘景升), who were also interested in Joseon literature. They had never met Joseon writers in person, but had expressed their interest in Joseon literature through Qiu Tan (丘坦), who had travelled to Joseon and shared his interest in Joseon literature with the members of the Shenglian Association. However, Song, who had personally met Joseon literati, played a role in introducing Joseon literature within the Shenglian Association with his two sons, and made a significant contribution to the secondary dissemination of Joseon literature.
