국문 초록

[연구목적] 본 연구는 인터넷 포털사이트의 종목토론실 게시글이 회계정보의 가치관련성에 미치는 영향을 실증분석한다. [연구방법] 파이썬 크롤러를 제작해 종목토론실의 게시글을 수집했고 게시글의 수와 크기가 순이익과 순자산, 비용처리되는 연구개발비와 연구개발비 차감전 순이익의 가치관련성에 미치는 영향을 회귀분석을 통해 검증한다. [연구결과] 분석 결과, 종목토론실 게시글의 수와 크기 모두 순자산 및 비용처리되는 연구개발비의 가치관련성에 긍정적인 영향을 미치고 있음을 보였다. 이러한 결과는 인터넷 상종목게시글이 일부 회계정보의 가치관련성을 향상시키는데 유의미한 역할을 하고 있음을 나타낸다. [연구의 시사점] 본 연구는 종목토론실의 게시글이 정보성이 있는지에 대한 상반된 견해가 존재하는 상황에서 회계정보가 주가에 반영되는 과정에 종목토론실의 게시글이 긍정적인 정보로써 작용하고 있음을 보였다는데 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

[Purpose] I empirically analyze the impact of the Naver stock message boards on the value relevance of accounting information. [Methodology] I create a Python crawler to collect contents from the Naver stock message boards, and through regression analysis, I show the impact of the number and size of contents on the value relevance of net income, net assets, and research and development expenses. [Findings] I find that both the number and size of Naver stock message board contents have a positive impact on the value relevance of net assets and research and development expenses. [Implications] This study holds significance in a situation where contrasting opinions exist regarding the informativeness of stock message board posts. I show that in the process of accounting information being reflected in stock prices, contents of the stock message boards play a positive role as informative content.
