로봇활용수업이 중학생의 창의융합핵심역량 및 진로준비행동에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 로봇활용수업이 중학생들의 창의융합핵심역량 및 진로준비행동에 어떤 효과가 있는지를 확인하는 것이었다. 로봇활용수업은 AI 시대라고 불리는 지식기반사회에서 요구되는 창의융합역량의 함양에 효과가 있다고 인식된다. 이를 위해 창의융합핵심역량과 진로준비행동 함양을 위한 로봇활용 교수-학습 과정안을 개발하였다. 연구대상은 서울시 소재의 Y 중학교 학생 40명(실험-20명, 통제-20명)이었으며, 2개의 학급에 3개월간 16차시 수업이 이루어졌다. 본 연구의 사전, 사후검사로는 창의융합핵심역량(이수미, 2020)과 진로준비행동(김봉환, 1997)을 사용하였다. 자료는 두 독립집단 t-test로 평균의 차이검증을 하였다. 연구결과, 로봇활용수업은 중학생의 창의융합핵심역량과 진로 몰입도를 향상시키는데 효과적임이 확인되었다. 이러한 결과는 공교육에서 로봇활용이 창의융합교육과 진로준비교육에 좋은 대안이 될 수 있다는 점을 시사한다. 본 연구는 로봇을 활용하여 교육적 효과를 탐색할 뿐 아니라 실증적 연구를 통하여 기존에 활발히 이행되지 못했던 정규 교과의 연계 촉진하는 기반을 제공하는 데 의의가 있으며, 이를 통하여 로봇을 활용한 중등교과과정에서의 교육의 운영 및 교수 지원에 대한 시사점을 얻고자 하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of robot-utilised instruction on the improvement of creative convergence core competencies and career preparation behavior of middle school students. The experiments lasted eight weeks (16 sessions), and 40 middle school students participated in the study. The participants were randomly assigned to two groups: an experimental group (20 students) and a control group (20 students). The experimental group students participated in robot-utilised instruction, whereas the students of the control group participated general theory-oriented class on same topics. Pre-and post-tests were conducted to measure creative-convergence core competencies (Lee, 2020), and career preparation behavior (Kim, 1997). Statistical analysis was conducted using the SPSS 21.0 program. The results of this study confirmed that robot-utilised instruction effectively improved the creative convergence core competencies and career preparation behavior of middle school students. These results suggest that it is a viable alternative to fostering creative convergence talents to prepare students for an unpredictable future characterized by hyperconnectivity and super-intelligence.
