목가구조 고분으로 본 아라가야의 수장들

국문 초록

본 글은 그간 아라가야의 중심고분군인 말이산고분군에서 확인된 목가구조 고분에 주목하여 목 가구조 고분의 공간 점유방식과 위세품, 순장 등에 담긴 물질문화의 의미를 파악하고 피장자의 계 서가 어떻게 나타나는지 알아보고자 하였다. 이와 함께 아라가야 주변에서 새롭게 확인된 목가구 조 고분을 검토하여 말이산고분군의 수장들과 각 재지의 수장들 간의 상호작용도 살펴보았다. 목가구조 고분은 I·II유형으로 구분하여 내부 속성을 검토하였고, 부장된 위세품은 전마구 형, 개인무장형, 장식대도보유형, 일반형으로 분류하여 계서의 기준으로 삼았다. 각 유형은 매장주 체부의규모, 위세품, 순장 등의 속성에 따라 계서의 차이가 나타난다. 수장들 간의 계서는 각 수장에게 부여된 위계뿐만 아니라 직능과 역할이 반영된 것으로 추정할 수 있었다. 또한 각 수장이 귀속된 가지능선별 그룹에 따라 고분군 내의 일정한 공간 점유방식이 나타나며 이를 통해 말이산고분군의 ‘보여주기 경관’이 완성된 것으로 보았다. 특히 말이산고분군 내 목가구조 고분에 관여된 수장들과 조묘자들은 함안 주변지역에서 목가구조 고분을 수용한 재지의 수장들과 상호작용을 상 정할 수 있었다. 함안 주변지역의 목가구조 고분에서 나타나는 고암반대, 반부 분할 성토방식, 구 획석축렬 등의 고총고분의 축조기술과 조형장철판의기의 공유는 수장들 간의 단순한 교류를 넘어 축조집단 간 상호작용에 따른 직접적인 영향의 결과물로 이해하였다.

영문 초록

This article focused on the wooden structure tombs identified in the Ancient Tombs in Marisan Mountain, the central tomb of Aragaya, to understand the space occupancy method of the wooden structure tombs, the meaning of the material culture contained in the prestige, and the burial site, and to find out how the hierarchy of the subject appears. In addition, the newly identified wooden structure tombs around Aragaya were reviewed and the interaction between the heads of the Ancient Tombs in Marisan Mountain and the heads of each site was also examined. Wooden structural tombs can be classified into I and II types, and each type has a difference in hierarchy depending on the size of the burial subject, the prestige, and the properties of the burial subject. It could be presumed that the hierarchy among the heads reflected not only the hierarchy assigned to each head, but also the functions and roles. In addition, depending on the group to which each head belongs, a certain space occupation method within the tomb appears, and through this, the ‘showscape’ of the horse mountain tomb was completed. In particular, the heads and mausoleums involved in the wooden structure tombs in the Ancient Tombs in Marisan Mountain were able to assume interactions with the heads of the burial site who accepted the wooden structure tombs in the area around Haman. The construction technology of high-rise tombs such as high rock, embankment method, and partitioned stonework in the wooden structure tombs around Haman was understood as the result of the direct impact of the interaction between the construction groups beyond simple exchanges between the heads.
