텍스트 마이닝 기법을 활용한 대학 핵심역량 키워드 분석

국문 초록

많은 대학에서 인재상에 부합하는 핵심역량을 정의하고, 역량기반 교육과정을 운영하고 있음에도 불구하고, 대학이 제시하고 있는 핵심역량 체계 및 의미에 관한 연구는 부족한 실정이다. 이에 이 연구는 우리나라 각 대학에서 설정한 핵심역량의 구인이 어떻게 설정되어 있는지 살펴보고, 향후 대학에서 고려해야 할 역량중심 교육과정 운영을 위한 시사점을 도출하고자 하였다. 이 연구를 위해 2주기 대학혁신사업에 참여하는 121개 대학에서 제시하고 있는 핵심역량과 핵심역량의 정의를 수집하여 키워드 빈도 분석과 단어 임베딩 기법 중 워드투백(Word2Vec)을 활용하여 핵심 키워드와 단어 간 관계를 분석하였다. 대학 핵심역량의 정의에 나타난 키워드 분석을 통해 대학에서 핵심역량을 어떻게 설정하고 있는지 살펴보고, 역량 키워드의 집합에 대해 대상 간 유사도에 기초하여 군집 분석을 실시함으로써 대학에서 설정한 핵심역량의 주요 주제가 무엇인지를 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과로 나타난 대학의 핵심역량 현황은 첫째, 대학마다 설정한 인재상이나 특수성은 다르지만 설정하고 있는 핵심역량은 크게 다르지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 산업 수요와 사회상의 변화를 잘 반영하지 못하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 사회상과 산업 수요를 반영한 대학의 책무성에 대해 숙고하고, 역량 설정에 대해 고민이 필요한 시점이라고 할 수 있으며, 향후 교육의 방향성 변화에 부합하여 대학 교육의 성과를 측정하고 관리할 수 있도록 역량의 요소와 구인에 대한 재해석과 탐색을 위한 시도가 이루어져야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

Despite many universities defining and operating competency-based curriculum that align with their ideal talent profiles, there is a shortage of research on the core competency systems and meanings presented by universities. The purpose of this study is to examine how core competencies are defined by various universities that participated in the second cycle of university innovation projects and to identify key points for operating competency-based education programs in the future. For this research, core competencies and their definitions were collected from 121 universities participating in the second cycle of university innovation projects. Through Word2Vec techniques, the relationships between key terms and words were analyzed. Also Cluster analysis was conducted to analyze the main themes of the core competencies set by universities. The results of this study revealed several key findings regarding the current status of university core competencies. Firstly, while each university has different ideal talent profiles or specificities, the core competencies they are setting are not significantly different. Secondly, it was observed that universities are not effectively reflecting industry demand and societal changes in their core competencies. It is suggested that there is a need for reflection on the responsibilities of universities in responding to societal and industrial demands. This indicates a critical juncture for contemplating competency setting. To align with future changes in the direction of education, efforts should be made to reinterpret and explore the elements and requirements of competencies. This will enable the measurement and management of the outcomes of university education in line with the changing direction of education.
