시편 23의 목자 이미지 고찰을 위한 성경 내외적 비교 연구

국문 초록

본고는 고대 근동과 구약에서 신과 인간 모두를 지칭하는 상징적인 표현인 목자에 주목하여 성경의 내외적 자료들과의 비교 연구를 통해 시편23의 목자 이미지를 더 깊이 고찰했다. 따라서, 본고는 시편 23의 구조와 주요한 목자 이미지를 밝힌 다음, 고대 근동의 목자 이미지와의 성경 외적 비교 연구를 진행하여 시편 23의 직간접적으로 드러나는 목자의 신적이며 인간적인 이미지의 기원과 특성을 고찰하였다. 또한, 시편 23과 에제 34을 비교하는 성경 내적 비교 연구를 통해 구약 내에서의 목자 이미지의 다양성과 발전 및 심화를 연구하였다. 특별히, 시편 23의 목자 이미지를 고대 근동과 에제 34과의 상호적 관계에서 연구함으로써 시편 23의 목자 이미지를 신적 이미지만으로 한정하지 않고, 인간적 이미지로도 확장하여 해석할 수 있게 되었다. 게다가, 비교 연구를 통해 시편 23의 목자 이미지가 단순한 은유적 표현을 넘어 목자의 신적 특성을 드러내는 신학적 의미와 야훼로부터 선택받고 권한을 위임받은 인간 목자의 메시아적 특성까지도 드러내는 역할을 하고 있음을 밝혀냈다. 또한, 본고는 시편 23의 목자 이미지에서 대조군들과의 연관성을 기반으로 고대 근동부터 구약 전반에 걸친 목자 이미지의 형태와 특성을 파악하여 범주화하고, 이를 신약에 적용할 수 있는 가능성까지도 열어 놓았다.

영문 초록

This article focused on the shepherd, a symbolic expression referring to both God and humans in the Ancient Near East and the Old Testament. It delves deeper into the image of the shepherd in Psalm 23 through a comparative study with internal and external materials from the Bible. Consequently, this article uncovers the structure and primarys shepherd image of Ps 23. It then conducts an extra-biblical comparative study with the shepherd image of the ANE to explain the origin and characteristics of the direct and indirect divine and human image of the shepherd in Ps 23. Additionally, a comparative study within the Bible comparing Ps 23 and Ezekiel 34 shows the diversity, development, and deepening of the shepherd’s image within the OT. In particular, by confirming the relevance and uniqueness of the shepherd’s image in Ps 23 in its relationship with the ANE and Ez 34, it became possible to interpret the shepherd’s image in Ps 23 not only as a divine image but also expand it to a human image. Moreover, through comparative research, it was revealed that the shepherd image in Ps 23, far from being a simple metaphorical expression, serves as a theological meaning unveiling the characteristics of God’s divine shepherd and even exposing the messianic traits of the human shepherd chosen and delegated authority by Yahweh. In addition, this study categorizes the shepherd image in Ps 23 by identifying the form and characteristics of the shepherd image from the ANE to the OT based on correlation, and even opens up the possibility of applying this to the New Testament.
