18~19세기 南人 詩壇의 시적 특징의 일면

국문 초록

본고는 18~19세기 남인 시단에서 보이는 시적 특징의 일면을 연구한 것이다. 근기 남인의 시맥에서 중요하게 평가되는 菊圃 姜樸(1690~1742)은 詩社를 통해 일련의 문학동인을 형성하며 후대 문인들에게 전범이 되었으며, 『詩經』을 중심으로 한 그의 시론과 문학적 특징은 주변 문인들에게 많은 영향을 끼쳤다. 근기 남인의 문학적 특징이 18~19세기를 거치며 근기는 물론 영남의 남인 문단으로 그 전통을 이어가고 있는 바, 悅雲社와 낙강을 중심으로 한 洛江泛月의 船遊 문학은 17세기 남인 시맥이 누대를 거쳐 19세기 후반까지 내린 대표 사례라 하겠다. 7월 기망과 10월 보름에 있었던 洛江의 船遊는 16세기 말에서 17세기에 상주지역에선 이미 오랜 관습으로 자리 잡았다. 1622년 5월 淵嶽文會를 통한 『淵嶽文會錄』 외에도, 임술년 선유에 의한 『壬戌泛月錄』과 18세기 후반 續竹雨社를 통한 『竹雨社詩集』, 19세기 중반의 『洛遊帖』은 모두 그 성과물이다. 시회의 구성원 중 일부는 현실적 대응의 일환으로 임란 이후 현실적 문제를 극복하고자 己亥合禊(1599)를 조직하여 존애원을 창설하고 도남서원을 창시하는 등 도학을 기본이념을 현실에 실천하였으며, 본 계회는 20세기 초까지 유지, 존속되었다. 이들이 창작한 시는 국포 시의 溫藉함과 幽雅함을 따르고 姜世白(1784~1824)의 ‘詩貴自然’, ‘自然者, 天機也’라는 시 정신을 담고 있다. 국포의 손자인 姜世綸(1761~1842)은 『맹자』의 觀水와 息山 李萬敷(1664~1732)의 觀山之術을 들어 선유 문학을 觀水之術로 설명하여 자연의 觀物을 통한 性情의 流露와 이를 통한 道體의 실현으로 설명하였다. 선유 문학의 미학적 전통은 최종적으로 仁에 도달하고 仁義禮智信을 실현키 위한 유학적 이념에 근간을 두었다. 또한, 姜世綸·姜世揆·趙奎和는 1517년부터 1704년까지 행해진 연악문회를 통한 낡고 오래된 『淵嶽書院古蹟帖』 2권과 『同遊題名錄』 1첩을 정리함으로써 會文補仁과 繩武의 함의를 몸소 실천하였다.

영문 초록

This paper is a study of aspects of poetic characteristics found in Namin poetry from the 18th and 19th centuries. Gukpo of the 17th century Namin poetry circle formed a series of literary circles through current affairs and became a model for later generations of writers. The influence of his poetry and literary characteristics, centered on 『Poetry』, on the literary people around him is considerable. The literary characteristics of Geungi Namin continued through the 18th and 19th centuries, continuing the tradition through Geungi and Namin literary circles in Yeongnam. The Seonyu(船遊) literature of Nak river Beomwol(泛月), centered on Yeolunsa(悅雲社) and Nak river is a continuation of the poetry of Namin in the 17th century. It can be said to be a representative example of the period of the traditional context being set to the late 19th century. Nak river seonyu(船遊) held on the first full moon of July and the first full moon of October, had already become a long-standing custom in the Sangju region in the late 16th and 17th centuries. In addition to 『Yeonakmunhoerok』 through Yeonakmunhoe in May 1622, 『Imsulbeomwolrok』 by seonyu(船遊) ImSul-year(壬戌年), 『JukwooSa-anthology』 through Sokjukwoosa(續竹雨社) in the late 18th century, and 『Nakyucheop』 in the mid 19th century are all the results. As a practical response, some of the members of the council organized Gihaehapgye (1599) to overcome realistic problems after the Japanese invasion, founded Jonaewon and Donamseowon, and were active in putting the basic ideology of Taoism into practice. It lasted until the early part of the century. The poetry they created followed the onja(溫藉) and yooa(幽雅) of Gukpo poetry and expressed the poetic spirit of Kang Se-baek's ‘Poetry values nature’ and ‘Nature is the purity of human nature.’ Kang Se-ryun cited the gwansu(觀水) of 『Mencius』 and the gwansanjisul(觀山之術) of Siksan, explaining that the gwansujisul(觀水之術) is the flow of nature through the look at nature and the realization of conduction through it. The aesthetic tradition of boating literature is based on Confucian ideology to ultimately reach benevolence and realize Five Constant Virtues, and contains the implications of huemunboin(會文補仁) seongmu(繩武)palindrome and monk dance.
