동반자 사목을 위한 청소년 사목의 실천적 요소

국문 초록

본 연구는『한국 천주교 청소년 사목 지침서』를 중심으로 동반자 사목으로 전환하기 위해 필요한 청소년 사목의 실천적 요소를 살펴보고자 하였다. 우선, 본 연구는 한국 천주교회보다 앞서 국가차원에서 시행한 ‘청소년동반자’ 프로그램을 소개하며 동반의 방식과 적용 결과를 제시하고 동반자 사목의 필요성을 언급하였다. 또한, 한국 천주교회의 청소년 사목의 현실적 문제를 진단하고 현 교회에서 제시하는 ‘시노달리타스’ 정신을 강조하며 동반자 사목으로 나아갈 필요성을 제시하였다. 이러한 필요성에 따라, 동반자 사목을 실천하기 위한 동반자의 의미를 살펴보고, 동반자가 갖추어야 할 요소로서 ‘현대 청소년에 대한 통합적 이해’, ‘다가감’, ‘경청’, ‘친절한 사랑’을 제시하였다. 그리고 동반자의 역할과 목적에 대해 교육적 동반과 영적 동반을 중심으로 설명하였다. 이를 바탕으로 동반자 사목을 지향하기 위해 요구되는 환경적 요소를 살펴보았다. 환경적 요소는 사목자와 교육자의 교육적 현존을 통한 ‘개별적 동반 환경’, ‘교육  사목 공동체를 통한 공동체적 동반 환경’, 그리고 ‘대중 청소년 사목으로 나아갈 수 있는 환경’으로 구분하였다. 그러므로, 동반자 사목으로 전환하기 위한 청소년 사목에 요구되는 실천적 요소들은 시대적 요구의 응답이며, 청소년과 함께, 청소년을 향한, 청소년에 의한, 청소년을 위한 사목으로 나아갈 새로운 전략이 될 수 있음을 보여준다.

영문 초록

This study navigated the practical elements of youth ministry, which help transition to the Ministry of Accompaniment based on the “Pastoral Framework of Youth Ministry of the Korea Catholic Church.” The study addressed the needs of the Ministry of Accompaniment by examining the impact of the ‘Youth Companion’ program operated by Korean government. Moreover, it emphasized the importance of “Sinodalitas” spirit after identifying the issues in Korea Youth Ministry. In doing so, the study introduced the concept of accompaniment and highlighted the essential elements that animate the Ministry of Accompaniment. These elements include a ‘comprehensive understanding of young people,’ ‘approach,’ ‘listening,’ ‘loving-kindness.’ Then, it elucidated the role and purpose of educational and spiritual accompaniment. Consequently, the study proposed environmental elements to put the Ministry of Accompaniment into practice. There elements include ‘personal accompaniment’ through educational presence, ‘community accompaniment’ fostered by an educative-pastoral community, and a popular youth ministry. The findings suggest that this approach could be a response to the challenges of the modern age, providing a new strategy that allows the Youth Ministry to be with the young, for the young, of the young, and by the young.
