경덕진 영롱자기의 제작 기법 연구

국문 초록

경덕진 영롱자기는 중국 고대의 500여년의 역사를 가지고 있다. 성형 된 반제품 상태의 도자기 위에쌀알 크기의 조각을 규칙적으로 투각하여 영롱유를 채워 소성하면 유약이 고온에서 용해되어 흘러내리면서 구멍을 막는 현상으로, 투각부분이 반투명한 유리질 막으로 변화한다. 이러한 연두색 유리질 막은 빛을 반사하고 투과하면서 기물의 표면에 아름다운 빛과 독특한 그림자의 시각적 효과를 내어 이를‘영롱안(玲瓏眼)’또는‘미통(米通)’이라고 부른다. 본 연구에서는 첫째, 고대 영롱자기의 기원을 조사하고 시대적 발전 상황을 분류하여 조사하였다. 둘째, 영롱자기의 제작 과정의 전반적인 이해와 장식 기법, 영롱 유약의 배합비율을 분석하여 제작 단계별 특성, 재료의 선택 그리고 기법의 적용 방식을 파악하였다. 셋째, 영롱자기 제작의 문화적 가치와예술가들의 작품 사례를 통해 현대 도자 예술에서 어떻게 활용되고 발전되고 있는지를 연구하였다. 따라서 경덕진 영롱자기의 기원, 역사적 변천, 제작 기법에 대한 연구는 현대적인 제작과정의 발전을 보여주며, 이는 전통적인 미학과 현대적인 기술의 융합을 찾아가는 결과물로, 전통과 현대의 균형적인 가치와 아름다움을 창출하는 것을 보여준다. 또한 그림자와 빛의 이용, 투각형태의 변형 등 예술가들의 재해석 된 작품 사례를 통해 새로운 가능성을 모색하였으며, 이는 단순히 전통적인 예술 형태로서의 위치를 넘어 현대 사회와 문화 속에서도 그 가치와 의미를 지속적으로 찾아내고 있다는 것을보여준다. 이는 문화적 유산의 지속 가능한 발전을 도모하고, 기술과 문화와의 융합을 통해 새로운 가치와 미학을 창출하여 전통과 현대 사이에서 자신만의 독특한 표현을 찾아낼 수 있는 계기를 마련하고 현대 도자기법의 발전과 그 가치를 확대하는데 기여 하고자 한다.

영문 초록

Gyeongdeokjin Yeonglong porcelain has a history of more than 500 years in ancient China. Place rice grain-sized pieces regularly on top pottery. When the glaze is filled and fired, the glaze dissolves at a high temperature and flows down, blocking the hole, changing the permeable part into a translucent glassy film. These light green translucent membranes reflect and pass through light. It creates a visual effect of beautiful light and unique shadows on the surface of the object, which is called‘Yeonglongan(玲瓏眼)’or‘Mitong(米 Tong)’. This research investigates three main aspects. First, it explores the origins and historical development of ancient Yeongnong Ceramics. Second, it comprehensively analyzes the production process, decoration techniques, and the composition of Yeongnong glaze to understand the characteristics of each production stage, material selection, and technique application. Third, it examines the cultural value of Yeongnong Ceramics and how contemporary ceramic artists utilize and develop them, using examples of their work. Therefore, the study of the origins, historical evolution, and production techniques of Gyeongdeokjin Yeongnong Ceramics demonstrates the development of modern production processes. This represents a fusion of traditional aesthetics with modern technology, creating a balanced value and beauty between tradition and modernity. Additionally, through the reinterpretation of artists, using shadows, light, and the transformation of inlaid forms, the study explores new possibilities, showing that these ceramics transcend their traditional artistic status to maintain their value and meaning in modern society and culture. This contributes to the sustainable development of cultural heritage, the fusion of technology and culture, and the creation of new values and aesthetics, paving the way for unique expressions between tradition and modernity and enhancing the development and value of contemporary ceramic techniques.
