국문 초록

본 연구는 공동주택 단지의 외부공간을 실태 분석하고, 거주자의 외부공간에 대한 범죄불안감과 만족도 및 이용도를 분석하여 단지 외부공간의 범죄불안감을 저감하기 위해 개선해야 하는 사항을 도출했다. 단지 외부공간별 범죄불안감은 외부인 출입 통제가 적극적이지 않고, 시야차단이나 숨은 공간이 다수 발생할 수 있는 단지에서 높게 나타나는 것으로분석되었으며, 단지 출입구 및 필로티 공간과 같이 외부인을 포함한 다수의출입구간은 범죄불안감 저감을 위해 접근통제와 영역성을 확보하고, 조경밀집공간은 자연감시성을 증대시키는 방안으로 범죄불안감을 저감시키는 것이 단지 전체 만족도 향상을 위해 필요하다. 또한, 공동주택 단지 외부공간에 대한 거주자 이용률이 높을수록 범죄불안감이 낮은 것으로 분석되어 휴게·운동·놀이공간과 같은 단지 외부공간과시설의 적절한 위치와 개수를 산정하여 배치함으로써 접근성과 활동성을 강화하는 등 공동주택 외부공간에 대한 범죄불안감을 저감시키는 방안 마련이필요하다.

영문 초록

This study analyzed the actual condition of the external spaces of the apartment, and analyzed the residents' fear of crime, satisfaction, and utilization of these external spaces among residents to derive factors that need to be improved to reduce the residents’ fear of crime in external spaces of the apartment. The study found that fear of crime by external spaces is analyzed to be high in apartments where access control for outsiders was not actively controlled and where a large number of blocked or hidden spaces could occur. It is only necessary to improve overall satisfaction to reduce fear of crime by securing access control and territoriality and increasing natural surveillance in landscape dense spaces. In addition, it was analyzed that the higher the resident use rate of the external space of the apartment, the lower the fear of crime, so that the proper location and number of external spaces and facilities such as rest, exercise, and playgrounds are calculated and placed to strengthen accessibility and activity. It is necessary to come up with a plan to reduce the fear of crime about the external spaces of apartments.
