영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to specifically study the formative characteristics of writ- ing table in the Qing Dynasty of China, focusing on the formativeness of writing table based on the middle periods of the Qing Dynasty, the golden age of furniture development in the Qing Dynasty of China. The specific research results through literature research and empirical research are as follows. First, in the results of analysis by type, it was confirmed that the flat head writing table occupied more weight than the tilting head writing table. Angled writing ta- ble was also found most often in tilting head writing table. In terms of specific morphological and structural characteristics, in common, the ‘narrow head order’ connecting the top plate and the bridge appeared most often, and the structure of ‘square legs, straight’ appeared most often. Second, the decorations of writing table in the mid-Qing Dynasty of China are characterized by expressing both diversity and complexity. Also, it is characterized by the patronage of tradi- tional Chinese patterns or symbolic patterns. Third, the materials of writing table in the mid-Qing Dynasty of China are characterized by mainly using Dalbergia odorifera and Pterocarpus santalinus. Along with the variety and complexity of writing table decorations, there is also a tendency to diversify in the use of materials.
