영문 초록

This study describes the manufacturing process of eco-friendly wooden straws, made from wood veneers as a substitute for petroleum-based products, such as plastic straws. Birch veneers were prepared through rotary cutting, then laminated with kraft paper and spirally wound to form the straw shape. The manufacturing process for wooden straws involved material supply, adhesive coating, spiral winding, and cutting units. During the pilot production of wooden straws, several issues were identified, including adhesion, thickness imbalance, veneer jamming, and breakage. These issues were resolved through modifications and additions to the process. The pilot production resulted in wooden straws with a thickness of 0.4 mm and diameters of 8 mm and 10 mm. However, there are still several issues that need to be addressed before wooden straws can be commercially produced, and further research is required to address them.
