초·중·고 학생들의 온라인 읽기 동기 경향 탐구

국문 초록

목적: 본 연구는 학교급, 성별, 읽기 동기 요인에 따른 온라인 읽기 동기 경향을 비교 분석하고 그에 따른 교육적 시사점을 도출하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 방법: MORQ에 대한 초등학생, 중학생, 고등학생 총 510명의 응답들을 수집하였고, 연구 목적에 따라 기술 통계 및 분산 분석 결과를 보고하였다. 결과: 학생들의 전반적인 온라인 읽기 동기 경향은 약간 높은 수준에 있었고, 학교급에 따른 차이는 있지만 성별에 따른 차이는 없는 것으로 나타났다. 구체적으로 초등학생들의 동기 수준이 가장 낮았고, 중학생의 수준이 가장 높았다. 동기 요인 측면에서 호기심 요인의 평균 점수가 가장 높고 가치 및 자기효능감 요인의 점수가 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 결론: 학생들의 온라인 읽기 동기 경향을 보다 면밀하게 살펴보기 위한 연구 및 학생들의 온라인 동기 수준을 고양시기키 위한 교수적 실천들에 대한 연구가 필요하다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare and analyze the tendencies of online reading motivation according to school levels, sex, and motivation foctors, and it also aimed to discuss the educational implications from the results. Methods: In order to accomplish this research purpose, the responses for the MORQ from 510 students were collected, and the data was analyzed and reported by descriptive statistics and analysis of variance. Results: The findings of data analysis showed that students’ online reading motivation is slightly placed on high level and that there was no significant difference between boy and girl students although there was significant difference according to school levels. Specifically, the motivation level of elementary school students was the lowest while the one of middle school students was the highest. In terms of motivational factors, the mean score of curiosity factor was the highest but the mean scores of value and self-efficacy factors were relatively lower. Conclusion: The research for exploring students’ online reading motivation closely and developing instructional practices to enhance students’ online reading motivation is needed.
