드라마가 소설을 읽는 하나의 방식

국문 초록

본고는 소설《풍기농서》를 원작으로 하는 드라마《풍기농서》를 연구대상으로 하여, 드라마가 소설을 어떤 방식으로 읽으면서 차이를 양산하는지, 그 차이는 무엇을 말하기 위한 것인지를 살펴보았다. ‘역사가능성소설’로서 첩보물을 표방하는 소설《풍기농서》는 두 가지 의미 영역을 산출한다. 하나는 내적 의미 영역으로, 집단(나라)를 위한 개인의 희생에 대한 문제이다. 개인과 집단 가치의 일체화를 욕망하는 ‘삼국 시기’라는 시대적 배경에서 볼 때, 이는 역사적 사실을 바라보는 ‘현대인의 사유’를 투영한다. 다른 하나는 외적 의미 영역으로, 신선함과 재미이다. 이는 ‘가능성으로서 역사’를 첩보물의 형식에 담아낸 결과로, 인터넷소설로서 장르물의 성격을 잘 보여준다. 다만, 원작은 전자가 후자에 의해 은폐된 경향을 보인다. 드라마는 ‘다시-쓰기’를 통해 원작과 분리된 독립적인 생산물로서 드라마의 성격을 보여줌과 동시에, 원작의 이 두의미 영역을 균형 있게 보존한다. 첫째, 첩보물로서 원작의 성격의 강화 및 멜로드라마적인 색깔의 추가이다. 드라마에 삽입된 멜로드라마적인 색깔은 소설과 다른 드라마《풍기농서》의 고유성을 보여준다. 둘째, 내적 의미 영역의 명료화이다. 드라마는 개인과 집단 가치의 동일시에 대한 문제를 보다 더 깊이 세밀하게 사유한다. 드라마에새로이 기입된 사적 영역은 개인과 집단을 동일시하고, 집단적인 가치를 우선시하는 ‘기록된 역사’에 균열을 내는 공간이다. 드라마가 사적 영역을 통해 소환한 ‘情義’는 공적 영역의 ‘大義’와 대치하는 도덕적 윤리적 가치이다. ‘情義’의 소환으로부터 드라마는 ‘개인’을 은폐하는 집단 가치의 우월성에 저항하고, ‘大義’라는 집단 가치로 위장한 개인의 권력 욕망을 폭로한다. 멜로드라마적 양식의 핵심이 “도덕적 비의(moral occult)”를 명료화하는 데 있음을 상기해보면, 드라마 《풍기농서》는 ‘情義’를 당대 중국 사회의 도덕적 윤리적 규범으로 제시하고 있는 것이다. 나아가, 이를 실천하는 기호로 ‘이름없는 영웅’을 소환함으로써, 당대 중국의 탈신성화, 평범화된 ‘영웅’ 상상에 부합한다.

영문 초록

The research target of this study is 《The Wind Blows From Longxi》a drama based on《The Wind Blows From Longxi》, and researches how the drama reads the novel and creates a difference and what the difference is to tell. To this end, it focuses on the characteristics of figure in the novel and the drama and the differences between behaviors. The drama shows 2 features through re-processing and creation of figures. This strengthens the characteristics of original novel as intelligent drama and adds the melodramatic colors. In particular, the melodramatic colors are unique characteristics of 《The Wind Blows From Longxi》the drama different from the novel. The drama forms the private relation through re-processing and creation of figures, and the private relation newly formed in the drama is a space that practices the melodramatic imagination. The tears of figures in the privar relation visualize the melodramtic characteristics as ‘an art producing the emotional state’. It is noticeable that ‘tears’ of figures occur in the situation of choice among the conflicts between individual value and group value. At this time, ‘tears of figures symbolize a skeptical view of the identification of individual and collective values. That is, the drama 《The Wind Blows From Longxi》discloses the individual desire for power disguised with the group value called ‘DaYi(大義)’ while questioning the superiority of collective values that conceal ‘individuals’. At the same time, it summons QingYi(情義) as an individual value. If the purpose of melodrama is to reveal the moral occult, the moral occult that 《The Wind Blows From Longxi》reveals in the area of reality is QingYi(情義). Like this, this dram can be said to be in the category of Political melodrama unique to China in that it considers ‘moral’ that the human being should keep in the integration or division of individual moral and political moral. That is, the drama 《The Wind Blows From Longxi》is like embodying the heaviness of the traditional drama on top of the novelty and fun of the original genre by reading the original work by utilizing the melodramatic imagination.
