국문 초록

『오월춘추』와 『월절서』는 東漢 초기 중국의 南方인 오나라와 월나라의 역사와, 지방의 산물 및 특성 등을 충분히 반영한 典籍이다. 이들 전적에는 여러 주목할 만한 서술들이 있지만, 특히 명검에 관한 서술을 고사화한 대목들이 더욱 뛰어나고 감동적이다. 이 두 전적에서 명검을 敍事化한 것에 대해, 본 논문은 제작과정·祭儀·性能·用途·形狀 방면에서의 서사화를 분석하고 서사화의 의의를 추구하였다. 명검을 여러 곳에서 다방면으로 감동적이고 문학적으로 서사화한 것은 그 이야기 자체적으로도 의미가 있을 뿐만 아니라, 명검 敍事를 통해 당시 남방 사회의 의식의 경향이나 풍조까지도 들여다볼 수 있는 기틀을 제공하였다. 명검 서사화를 통한 의미를 찾아본다면, 명검 서사가 중국 서사문학 발전에 큰 기여를 했다는 사실이며, 또한 많은 곳에서 명검을 서사화한 『오월춘추』를 소설문학에 접근한 전적으로 평가할 수 있는 근거 중 하나를 제공하였다는 사실이다.

영문 초록

『Wu-Yue Chunqiu』 and 『Yue Jue Shu』 are regional historical and local books that fully reflect the history of the Wu and Yue countries located in southern China during the Eastern - Han Dynasty, as well as local products and characteristics. There are several noteworthy narratives in these books, but the one on the famous sword is particularly outstanding and moving. Regarding the description of the famous sword in these two books, this paper analyzed the descriptions in the process of making the famous sword, ritual, performance, use, and shape, and sought their meaning. The moving and literary description of the famous sword in various places is not only meaningful to the story itself, but also provided a framework to look into the trends and trends of consciousness in the southern society at the time through the description of the famous sword. What we can know from the descriptions of the famous sword is that the narratives of the famous sword made a great contribution to the development of Chinese epic literature, and it is also possible to evaluate 『Wu-Yue Chunqiu』, which describes the famous sword in various places, as a book approaching literature of fiction.
