非母语者话语标记“然后”的使用情况考察

국문 초록

본 논문은 중국어 대화문에서 담화표지 “그리고(然后)”의 사용 상황과 특징을 영어와 한국어 원어민을 연구 대상으로 통계 및 비교 분석한 것으로, 사용분포 및 기능에 대해 고찰하고, 이를 바탕으로 그 기능의 형성요인에 대해 살펴보았다. 위의 고찰을 통해 본 연구는 개인이 사용하는 중국어 의사소통상황에서 긴 대화식 진술문의 경우, 원어민과 비원어민 모두 “그리고(然后)”를 담화표지로 사용하는 경향이 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 다만 비원어민의 “그리고(然后)”에 대한 사용 빈도가 훨씬 낮아 중국 원어민에 비해 심리적 의존도가 월등히 낮다는 점을 발견하였다. 이어, 기능분석으로 담화표지인 “그리고(然后)”가 문장과 대인관계 두 가지 측면에서 모두 작용한다는 사실을 발견하였다. 또 원어민과 비원어민의 말뭉치 분석과정에서 “그리고(然后)”의 구체적인 기능표현이 공통의미와 개별의미를 모두 지니고 있으며, 그 개별의미는 의사소통 대상의 언어능력에 영향을 받기 때문임을 알게 되었다.

영문 초록

This paper takes native English and Korean speakers as the research objects, and examines their use of the discourse marker “Ranhou” in Chinese communication from the aspects of distribution and function by means of statistical and comparative analysis. On this basis, find out the factors that form and affect the above characteristics. After investigation, we found that both native and non-native speakers tend to use “Ranhou” as a discourse marker in long-turn personal declarative Chinese communication. However, non-native speakers' psychological dependence on “Ranhou” is far less strong than that of Chinese native speakers, so the frequency of use is much lower than that of native speakers. Functionally, the discourse marker “Ranhou” works at both the discourse and interpersonal levels. In the corpus of native speakers and non-native speakers, the specific functional performance of “Ranhou” has both common features and individual differences. We believe that the above differences are related to the influence of the communicator's language ability.
