국문 초록

본고는 변화하는 시대를 산업혁명 기준으로 분류하고, 창조형 인재를 양성하는 방안을 교육정책개선으로 모색해보았다. 현 대학 커리큘럼은 단일·복수·연합·연계·자율로 분류된다. 그중 자율전공은 오늘날 주목받는 커리큘럼이며, 우리나라 교육부도 본 취지에 공감하여 고교학점제를 2025년까지 전면 적용한다는 계획을 발표하였다. 다만 대학에서 자율전공을 전면 실현하기 위해서는 몇 가지 조건이 선행되어야 한다. 자율전공은 분명 4차 산업혁명에 호응하는 모습 중 하나일 수 있다. 그러나 다재다능과 무능은 종이 한 장 차이다. 한 분야에 통달한 깊이 있는 인물을 양성하는 것도 정답이며, 상대적으로 얕지만 다양한 분야와 두루 소통 가능한 인물 역시 정답이다. 급변하는 시대에 살아가는 오늘, 커리큘럼 선택권은 학습자에게 돌아가야 한다. 무엇을 목표할 것인지, 어떤 미래를 계획할 것인지는 학습자 본인이 흥미와 적성에 따라 스스로 자문하고 교육기관은 이에 호응해야 한다. 따라서 필자는 자율전공의 상위개념인 자주적 교육을 해결책으로 제시해보고자 한다.

영문 초록

This paper classified the changing era as the standard of the industrial revolution and sought to improve educational policies to foster creative talents. The current university curriculum is classified into a single, multiple, coalition, connection, and autonomy. Among them, autonomous majors are a curriculum that is attracting attention today, and the Korean Ministry of Education also agreed with this purpose and announced a plan to fully apply the high school credit system by 2025. However, in order for universities to fully realize autonomous majors, several conditions must be preceded. Autonomous majors may certainly be one of the responses to the Fourth Industrial Revolution. However, there is a fine line between versatility and incompetence. It is also the right answer to cultivate in-depth people who have mastered one field, and people who are relatively shallow but can communicate with various fields are also the right answer. Today, living in a rapidly changing era, curriculum options must go to learners. The learner himself or herself should consult on what to aim for and what future to plan, and the educational institution should respond to it. Therefore, I would like to present independent education, a higher concept of autonomous major, as a solution.
