유아의 성과 연령에 따른 도덕성 발달 차이

국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구는 만 3~5세 유아의 도덕성 발달을 살펴보기 위해 유아의 성별과 연령에 따른 도덕성 발달 차이를 살펴보고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 연구방법: 연구대상은 경기도에 위치한 ‘S’ 어린이집에 재원중인 만 3~5세 유아 각 연령별 10명씩 총 30명이었다. 연구도구는 ‘유아의 도덕성 검사도구’이며, 도덕성 관련 2개 질문으로 유아를 일대일 면담한 뒤 면담내용을 전사하여 도덕성과 덕목별로 채점하였다. 분석은 SPSS를 활용하여 도덕성 발달은 성에 따라서는 T-test분석, 연령에 따라서는 ANOVA 분석을 하였다. 또한 10개 덕목별 성차와 연령차는 카이 검증을 실시하여 분석하였다. 연구결과: 유아의 성에 따른 도덕성 발달차이는 통계적으로 유의미하지 않았고, 덕목별 성차도통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 없었다. 반면, 연령에 따른 도덕성 발달 차이는 통계적으로 유의미하였고, 덕목별 연령차도 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 연구결론: 유아의 도덕성은 성에 따라 차이가 나타나지 않았지만 연령별로 도덕성 발달과 덕목차가 나타난 점을 감안하여, 교육 현장에서 덕목별로의 연령차를 고려한 안내가 필요하다는 것을 시사한다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the differences in moral developmentaccording to gender and age of children aged 3-5 years. Methods: The subjects of the study were a total of 30 children, 10 of each age group, betweenthe ages of 3 and 5 who are enrolled in an ‘S’ childcare center located inGyeonggi-do. The research tool is the 'morality test tool for children', and afterinterviewing the children one-on-one with two questions related to morality, theinterview contents were transcribed and scored according to morality and virtue. For analysis, SPSS was used, and moral development was analyzed by T-testaccording to gender and ANOVA analysis according to age. In addition, the genderand age differences for each of the 10 virtues were analyzed by conducting a chi test. Results: There was no statistically significant difference in moral development and by virtueaccording to the gender of young children. On the other hand, the difference inmoral development according to age was statistically significant, and the agedifference by virtue was also statistically significant. Conclusion: There was no difference in the morality of young children by gender, but consideringthat there was a difference in moral development and virtue by age, it suggeststhat guidance considering age difference by virtue is necessary in the educationalfield.
