베르댜예프 철학의 비판적 이해

국문 초록

본 논문은 20세기 전반기 러시아의 종교철학을 대표했던 베르댜예프의 삶과 철학을 비판적으로 검토한다. 베르댜예프는 자유와 인격을 강조하며 현대사회에서 인간이 처한 노예성과 객체화를 벗어날 것을 주장한다. 우리는 두 가지 측면에서 베르댜예프를 살펴보고자 한다. 첫째는 그의 삶의 경로와 그의 철학개념에 대한 소개를 먼저 다룬다. 그리고 둘째 그의 저서 『현대 세계의 인간의 운명』(1934)에서 드러나는 그의 철학적 관점을 요약분석하고 그것을 비판적으로 이해하고자 한다. 베르댜예프는 귀족가문의 군사장교 집안에서 태어났다. 대학에 입학하고 나서 세상의 불완전성을 깨닫고, 악과 불의를 근절하려는 열망으로 마르크스주의의 지지자가 되었고, 학생 시위에 참여했다는 이유로 2년동안 유형생활을 했다. 그 이후 자신의 철학적 입장을 유물론에서 형이상학적 관념론으로 바꾸고, 현대사회의 병폐를 바꾸려는 희망을 종교철학에서 찾았다. 베르댜예프는 직접적으로 야코프 뵈메의 영향을 받아서 자신의 종교철학적 체계를 세웠고, 이후에는 도스토옙스키와 솔로비요프의 사상을 계승하고, 신비주의와 신지학의 내용을 수용했다. 베르댜예프의 『현대 세계의 인간의 운명』에서 현대사회에서 인간의 위기를 진단한다. 먼저 그는 역사의 의미를 분석하고, 현재의 역사가 역사의 실패임을 밝힌다. 현대 사회가 안고 있는 다양한 위기를 말하는데, 우선 인간의 위기이다. 이러한 위기는 짐승주의와 비인간화에 의해서 초래된 것이다. 비인간화를 초래한 사회체제로서 공산주의, 파시즘과 자본주의를 검토한다. 그는 현대 세계의 위기를 극복하기 위해 새로운 기독교적 영성을 계발할 것을 제안한다.

영문 초록

This study critically examines the life and philosophy of Berdyaev, who represented Russian religious philosophy in the first half of the 20th century. Berdyaev emphasizes freedom and personality, and insists on escaping the enslavement and objectification of human beings in modern society. We would like to examine Berdyaev from two aspects. First, it briefly examines his life's journey and his philosophical concept. Second, summarizes and analyzes his philosophical viewpoint revealed in his book, 'The Fate of Man in the Modern World'(1934), and try to understand it critically. Berdyaev was born into an aristocratic family. After he entered the university, he realized the imperfection of the world, became a supporter of Marxism out of a desire to eradicate evil and injustice, and served two years of penal life for participating in student protests. After that, he changed his philosophical position from materialism to metaphysical idealism and found hope in religious philosophy to change the ills of modern society. Berdyaev established his own religious and philosophical system under the direct influence of Yakov Böhme, and later inherited the ideas of Dostoevsky and Solovyov and accepted the contents of mysticism and theosophy. In Berdyaev's ‘The Fate of Man in the Modern World’, the human crisis in modern society is diagnosed. He analyzes the meaning of history and reveals that the current history is the failure of history. Various crises have been created in modern society, and the biggest crisis is the human crisis. This crisis is caused by bestialism and dehumanization. Examining communism, fascism and capitalism as social systems that have resulted in dehumanization. He suggests developing a new Christian spirituality to overcome the crisis of the modern world.
