문법 탐구 학습 과정에서의 중등 학습자의 학습 전략 사용 양상 탐색

국문 초록

본고는 문법 탐구학습이 학습자에게 미치는 영향을 분석하여 문법 교육에서 탐구학습의 효과를 구체적으로 검증하는 것이 목적이다. 이 연구를 위해 포천 시내 소재 중학교 2학년 2개 학급을 대상으로 탐구수업과 교사 중심 강의 수업을 각각 적용하고, 설문 조사를 실시하여 두 집단이 사용한 학습 전략의 차이를 분석하였다. 그리고 탐구학습 과정에 나타난 학습 전략 사용의 양상을 살펴보기 위해 2차 문법 탐구수업을 설계하여 녹취하고, 탐구활동 미숙 집단과 우수 집단이 사용하는 학습 전략의 차이를 살펴보았다. 그 결과, 문법 학습에서 학습자들이 많이 사용한 학습 전략의 순서는 통제 전략, 동화 전략, 단순암기 전략의 순이었고, 탐구학습을 경험한 집단이 강의식 수업을 경험한 집단보다 학습 전략을 유의미하게 더 많이 사용하는 것으로 나타났으며, 탐구활동 우수 집단과 미숙 집단 사이에 학습 전략 사용량과 사용 양상의 분석을 통해 성공적 문법 탐구 경험은 통제 전략과 동화 전략의 적절한 사용과 긴밀히 관련되어 있음을 확인하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to concretely verify the effects of inquiry learning by analyzing the influence of inquiry learning of grammar on learners. For this study, the current researcher took two classes in the second grade of a middle school located in Pocheon to apply inquiry class and lecturing class to them respectively. She analyzed differences in learning strategies used by the two groups by conducting a questionnaire survey. Then, the current researcher designed and recorded the second inquiry class in order to examine the aspects of the subjects’ use of learning strategies shown in the course of the inquiry learning. As a result, it turned out that the group experiencing inquiry learning used more learning strategies significantly than the group experiencing lecturing classes. Moreover, the aspects of the inexperienced and excellent groups in inquiry activities using learning strategies and the orders of their frequently using strategies were different. This study confirms that a successive experience of grammar inquiry is related with appropriate use of controlling and assimilation strategies.
