국문 초록

현대 사회에서는 혐오의 감정이 큰 문제가 되고 있다. 약자와 소수자의 전형인 ‘타자’에 대한 혐오의 문제와 더불어 혐오의 부정적 자질을 지니지 않는 대상에게도 혐오 감정 표출이 일어나는 혐오의 일반화가 이루어지고 있기 때문이다. 이러한 혐오의 시대를 살아가고 있는 학습자들에게는 혐오에 대한 부당성을 도덕적 차원에서 주입하기보다는 각 교과 차원의 구체적인 방안에 따른 교육이 필요하다고 본다. 문학교육과 인성교육의 상관성 속에서 이와 관련된 논의는 많은 성과를 거두었지만, 시대적 문제인 혐오와 관련된 연구는 미진한 실정이다. 이를 위해 본고에서는 혐오에 대한 인성교육으로서의 문학교육 방안을 구체화하기 위하여 혐오 시대의 교육과 문학교육을 통한 인성교육에 대하여 살피고, 혐오에 대한 인성교육으로서의 문학교육적 가능성을 밝혔다. 그리고 혐오의 개념을 명확히 하고, 혐오에 대한 인성교육의 구성 요소를 제시하였으며, 이를 전영택의 소설 <바람 부는 저녁>에서 확인하였다. 마지막으로 인물 평가를 통한 혐오의 오류 발견, 공감과 다양성, 대상의 주체성 인정을 통한 힘의 균형 회복으로 나누어 현장에서 이루어질 수 있는 문학 교육 방안을 마련하는 데에 초점을 두었다.

영문 초록

In today’s society, feelings of disgust, which have persisted in the past, are becoming a bigger problem. This is because the issue of disgust for the type of ‘other’ that is typical of other weak and minority, as well as the generalization of emotional disgust for those who do not have an abhorrent negative quality. For learners living in this age of disgust, we believe that education based on specific methods at each school level is needed instead of instilling in the injustice of hatred on a moral level. In order to clarify the literature educational methods of personality education for disgust, this study examined the role of education in the disgust era and the personality. Therefore, this study clarified the concept of disgust, presented components of character education on disgust, which was specifically identified in Jeon’s novel ‘The Windy Night’. Finally, the focus was on finding the errors of disgust through character evaluation, the restoration of power balance through empathy, diversity and the identity of a subject recognition, and developing a method of literature education that could be conducted in school.
