여성 노동의 불안정성 깊이와 이질성에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 첫째, 젠더관점에서 불안정 노동을 재개념화하여, 여성 노동의 불안정성 규모와 깊이를 분석하고, 둘째, 코로나19 위기 전후의 여성 노동의 불안정성의 변화를 파악하고, 그 요인들을 확인하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 본 연구는 불안정 노동의 개념을 고용, 소득, 노동시간, 사회적 보호, 일자리 차별 5가지 차원으로 구성하였다. 헤도닉 가중치를 적용하여 각 차원 간 가중치를부여한 후 불안정 노동의 비율(𝐻)과 강도(𝐴)를 산출하고, 여성 임금노동자의 노동 불안정성의 규모와 깊이를 측정하였다. 이어서 다중회귀분석을 통해 여성의 불안정 노동에 영향 미치는 인구사회학적 및 노동시장 요인들을 확인하였다. 본 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 전체 기간 동안여성 취업자 중 절반 이상이 불안정 노동자였으며, 2개 차원 이상에서 불안정성을 보였다. 특히2020년은 불안정 노동자의 규모는 가장 적었으나, 불안정 노동의 강도는 가장 깊은 시기라는 점에서 코로나19가 여성 노동의 불안정성에 미친 결과를 가늠할 수 있다. 둘째, 회귀분석 결과는 불안정노동에 영향 미치는 요인이 코로나19 시기 전후로 하여 상이함을 보여주었으며, 산업과 직종, 혼인상태에 따른 여성 내부의 이질성이 확인되었다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 시사점은 여성의 불안정 노동의 성격 규명과 대안 모색을 위해서는 규모와 강도 두 축을 함께 고려해야 하며, 코로나19 위기가집단 내 불안정성에 상이한 결과를 낳고 있다는 점에서 여성 내부의 이질성에 주목할 필요가 있다는것이다.

영문 초록

This study examines the depth of women’s precarious labor, redefining the concept of precarious labor from the gender perspective, and analyzes heterogeneity of women’s precarious labor during covid-19 pandemic phase. The study conceptualizes precarious labor as having five dimensional indicators such as job, income, working conditions, social protection, and job discrimination, and offers the adjusted precarious labor ratio, reflecting the intensity of precariousness. The major results of the study are as follows: First, during the analysis period, more than 1 out of 2 female employed were precarious worker and experienced precariousness in two or more dimensions. In 2020, the incidence of precarious workers was the smallest, but the intensity of precarious labor was the deepest, which predicts the effect of covid-19 on the precariousness of women’s labor. Second, the result of the multiple regression analysis showed that the factors affecting precarious labor were different before and after the covid-19 period, and heterogeneity among women was found according to industry, occupation, and marital status. Finally, the conclusion of this study is that two axes, the incidence and intensity of precarious labor, should be considered in order to identify the characteristics and look to alternatives of women’s precarious labor and suggests that it is necessary to pay attention to heterogeneity among women because the covid-19 crisis is producing different results on precariousness within the groups.
