첫째 자녀 출산과 양육 시기 동안의 여성의 결혼만족도 유형화 연구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 첫째 자녀 출산 후 첫째 자녀가 학령기에 접어드는 시기까지 여성의 결혼만족도의 변화 양상을 유형화하고, 구체적으로 어떠한 변수들이 여성들의 결혼만족도의 변화 양상의 차이와 관련이 있는지 확인하는 것이다. 여성가족패널 1차(2017년)에서 8차(2020년)까지 자료를 이용하여, 499명의 여성을 대상으로 첫째 자녀 출산 이전의 시점부터 첫째 자녀를 출산 후 8~9년까지 총 6개 시점의 여성들의 결혼만족도를 변수로 집단중심추세분석을 시행하였다. 분석 결과 총4개의 상이한 변화궤적이 도출되었다. 주된 변화 양상으로는, 첫째 자녀 출산 이후 대부분 여성들의결혼만족도가 하락하며 첫째 자녀가 학령기에 접어드는 시점까지 하락한 양상이 유지되는 것으로나타났으며, 전체의 3%에 해당하는 소수의 여성은 첫째 자녀 출산 이후 결혼만족도가 출산 전보다오히려 상승하는 것으로 나타났다. 이들 여성의 결혼만족도는 다른 유형의 여성들보다 높은 수준에서 유지되는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 변화 양상의 차이와 관련된 유의한 변수로는 배우자의 학력, 배우자 무급노동 시간, 배우자와의 관계적 측면(배우자 소통, 신뢰의 정도)으로 확인된다. 이에 배우자의 학력에 따른 부부 관계와 여성의 결혼 만족도의 차이를 줄이기 위해 청소년기부터 공교육 단계에서 평등한 성역할과 결혼생활 등에 관한 교육이 이루어질 필요성, 자녀 양육에 대한 실질적인 이해와 소통을 위해 남성이 육아에 참여할 수 있는 노동 환경과 사회적 인식 개선의 필요성을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to categorize the pattern of women’s marital satisfaction changes from the birth of the first child to the time when the first child enters school, and to determine which factors are related to the differences in the changes of women’s marital satisfaction. Using data from the 1st (2017) to 8th (2020) of Korean Longitudinal Survey of Women & Families (KLoWF), 499 women’s marital satisfactions on 6 times from before the first child birth to 8 or 9 years after the first child’s birth were analyzed with a Group-based Trajectory. As a result, changes in women’s marital satisfaction are divided into four different patterns. Most of the women’s marital satisfaction decreased after the birth of their first child, and the decline was maintained until the first child entered school. Only 3% of the total women, their marital satisfaction rose rather than before the fist child birth and persist a higher level of marital satisfaction. Statistically significant factors related to different marital satisfaction changes found the spouse’s educational background, spouse’s participation in unpaid-work and relationship with the spouse (communication, trust). It is mentioned the need for education on equal gender roles and marital life from public education in adolescence, and changes in the working environment for men to participate in child- rearing was mentioned.
