국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구는 지체장애인의 대학생활을 통한 성장 경험을 생애사적으로 조망하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 연구방법: 이를 위해 지체장애 대학생 2명을 대상으로 생애사적 연구방법론에 따라 반구조화 심층면담을 실시하여 자료를 수집하고 분석하였다. 연구결과: 그 결과, 연구참여자 A의 삶의 차원은 ‘가난했던 어린 시절’, ‘세상과 소통하지 못했던 삶’, ‘멈춰버린 10년’으로, 전환점은 ‘34세에는 꼭 이루고 싶었던 간절한 나의 꿈’, ‘나를 지지해준 소중한 사람들’로, 적응은 ‘사회구성원으로서의 나’, ‘사고의 전환’, ‘용기와 도전으로 뭉친 대학생활’로 범주화되었다. 그리고 연구참여자 B의 삶의 차원은 ‘나는 죄인’, ‘갑과 을’로, 전환점은 ‘나의 롤 모델’, ‘대학에서 만난 친구들과 교수님들’, ‘상담을 통한 내면의 치유’로, 적응은 ‘나의 권리 찾기’, ‘할 수 있다는 성취감’으로 범주화되었다. 결론: 이상의 결과를 바탕으로 지체장애인이 대학생활을 통해 성장을 경험할 수 있는 다양한 지원방안에 대하여 논의하였다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The objective of this study was to analyze growth experiences through the university lives of people with physical disabilities in life history. Method: For data collection and analysis, the researcher had semi-structured in-depth interviews to two university students with physical disabilities using the life history research methodology. Results: First of all, The dimensions of the life of research participant A included ‘a poor childhood’, ‘a life without communication with the world’, ‘10 years of stagnation’, and the turning points were ‘my earnest dream that I want to achieve at 34 years old’, ‘precious people who supported me’, and adaptations were ‘me as a member of society’, ‘change of thoughts’, and ‘university lives of courage and challenge’. Second, the dimensions of the life of the research participant B included ‘I am a sinner’, ‘a dominated relationship’, and the turning points were ‘my role model’, ‘friends and professors I met in university’, ‘inner healing through counseling’, and adaptations were ‘finding my rights’, ‘a sense of accomplishment’. Conclusion: Based on the results, the researcher discussed support the plan that can help people with physical disabilities experience growth through university lives.
