정신건강사회복지사의 정신장애인 인식에 관한 현상학적 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 Priestley의 다중 패러다임 관점에서 지역정신건강센터에서 근무하는 정신건강사회복지사의 정신장애인에 대한 인식을 파악하기 위한 현상학적 연구이다. 분석 결과, 개별적 유물론의 관점이 가장 큰 비중을 차지하였고, 다음으로 사회적 구성주의 관점으로 나타났다. 개별적 관념론과 사회적 창조주의 관점에서의 인식도 파악할 수 있었으며, 여러 패러다임이 혼재된 인식도 다수 존재하고 있었다. 이러한 결과에 따라 정신건강사회복지사 스스로가 정신장애인에 대한 인식을 성찰하고 변화시키기 위한 수련 과정과 보수교육의 역할, 정신장애인 당사자 중심의 권리회복을 위해 동료지원가 양성 및 자조모임 확대, 사회적 인식개선을 위한 언론 보도 지침 마련 및 모니터링과 지역사회, 아동·청소년 대상으로 인식개선 교육의 필요성을 주장하였다.

영문 초록

This study is a phenomenological study to understand the perceptions of mental health social workers, working at local mental health centers, of mentally disabled through Priestley’s multi-paradigm perspective. As a result of the analysis, individual materialism position took the largest proportion, followed by social constructionist position. It also showed the perceptions of individual idealist position and social creationist position. There were a number of mixed perceptions of paradigms. Based on these results, mental health social workers should reflect and change their perceptions through the training course and refresh training. This study also suggests the necessity of training peer supporters, expanding self-help groups to improve the rights of people with mental disabilities, preparing and monitoring media reports to improve social awareness, and educating the local community, children and adolescents in order to improve perceptions.
