국문 초록

이 논문은 한국 실증주의 사학의 형성과정과 특징을 분석한 것이다. 먼저 일제역사학자들과 이들에게서 배운 한국인 역사학자들에 의해서 근대 역사학인 랑케실증주의 사학이 한국 역사학계에 수용되었으며 이들이 한국 역사학계를 주도해오면서 역사연구의 주류가 되었다. 따라서 이런 연유로 인하여 한국 역사학은끊임없이 식민사관의 논란을 야기해 왔다. 그러므로 한국 실증주의 사학은 랑케가 주장한 바와 다르게 민족의 역사를 개별적이고 특수한 관점이 아니라 보편적 관점에서 연구해야 한다고 주장하고 있다. 이는 일제 역사가들이 랑케 실증주의 사학의 수용 과정에서 자국의 제국주의적인 정치적 이념에 따라 창안해 낸 소위 식민주의 사학의 역사관과 일맥상통한다. 일본 제국주의는 아시아에서 패권확장과 조선의 식민화의 정당성을 확립하기위해 역사적 기초가 절실했으며 이러한 정치적의 요구에 부응하여 일제 역사가들은 역사의 객관성과 과학성이란 이름으로 랑케 실증주의 사학을 변형하여 소위 ‘일제식 실증주의 사학’을 창안했다. 따라서 일제 식민통치 시기 일제 식민주의 사학자들에게 역사를 배웠던 한국인 역사학자들이 이러한 ‘일제식 실증주의사학’을 한국 역사학계에 뿌리를 내리게 한 주역들로 비판을 받고 있다. 그러므로 한국 실증주의 사학은 랑케류가 아니라 일제 식민주의 사학의 역사관을 특징을 담고 있는 것으로 분석되고 있다.

영문 초록

This thesis is on the character and making of Positive history in Korea. First, Modern History, Ranke’s Positive history had been accepted by Korean historians, who had leaned from historians of Japan empire, as it were an imperialist. So, these historians have been the mainstream of history studies in Korea and have taken lead the academic word of history. Hence, Korea history studies have provoked many disputes of the colonial view of history. Therefore, the positive history of Korea maintain to have to study a history of nation on the universal point of view, not individual and special in contrast with Rank'e view. The view of history like this and the colonial view of history that historians of Japan empire had made to answer the purpose of a politic ideology of imperialism have something in common. Japan empire was urgently needed a historical basis to establish the justification of colonization of Korea and supremacy in Asia, meeting the politic demands like this, historians of Japan empire builded up ‘the Positive history of Japanese style’ by transshaping Ranke's positive history in mame of objectivity and scientific characteristic. So, Korean historians who had learned the historical studies from colonialist historians of Japan in the period of colonization are encountered criticism to be lead role of a making the Positive history of Japanese style’ put down roots in Korea. Thus, it is said that positive history in Korea has a characteristic of the colonial view of history, not Rank’s view.
