문화콘텐츠로서 신동엽 作 <석가탑>의 기획 방향 연구

국문 초록

이 논문에서는 아사녀 설화라는 문화원형을 활용해 제작한 희곡, 소설, 총체극, 문화공원 등과 비교해, 신동엽 대본의 「석가탑」이 제기하는 공간의 문제를살펴보고 문화적 타자를 허용하는 문화콘텐츠의 기획 방향을 제안한다. 2장에서는 한국인의 삶에 미칠 영향력을 고려해 주류의 문화콘텐츠를 분석함으로써 공간적 폐쇄성의 문제를 확인한다. 불국사 경내/경외, 성/속의 전통적 이분법 구도에 예술/사랑이라는 구도를 보완하며 공간의 구분을 강화하고 재생산했다는 것을 증명하기 위해, 식민지 시기의 텍스트와 21세기의 문화콘텐츠를 분석한다. 3장에서는 「석가탑」의 무대 공간에 나타난 아사녀의 환영을 분석하여 아사녀의 유산 상속자로서 아사달이 모든 구분에 의해 이분법적으로 제한된 공간을 확장하는 작업을 극의 결말에서 선언한다고 해석한다. 이에 따라, 문화콘텐츠로서 <석가탑>의 기획자는 역사적으로 완성해온 공간적 폐쇄성을 고려하면서도 내·외부의 공간에 문화적 타자를 불러들임으로써 전례 없는 예술 작품을 창조하고자 했던 최초의 기획을 상속해야 한다고 제안한다.

영문 초록

This paper propose the direction of planning cultural contents that allow cultural others. To this end, compared to play, novel, total theatre, and cultural park produced using the cultural archetype of Asanyeo, this paper examines the problems of space raised by Shin Dong-yeop’s Seoggatap . Chapter 2 examines the problems of spatial closure by analyzing mainstream cultural contents in consideration of the influence on the lives of Koreans. In order to prove that the division of space was reinforced and reproduced by supplementing the composition of art/love in addition to the traditional dichotomy of inside/outside, sacred/secular, the texts of the colonial era and cultural contents of the 21st century are analyzed. Chapter 3 analyzes the phantom of the Asanyeo appearing in the stage space of the Seoggatap and analyzes that Asanyeo's inheritance heir, Asadal declares at the end of the play to expand the dichotomously limited space by all divisions. Referring to this, it is suggested that the planners of Seoggatap can inherit the original plan to create an unprecedented work of art by inviting cultural others into the inner and outer spaces while considering the historically completed spatial closure.
