국문 초록

사회 내 파편화된 관계성 속에서 신앙공동체로서의 교회가 도덕적 주체를 형성하고 실천의 방향성을 제시할 수 있을지 본 논문은 관심한다. 공동체를 통하여 규범과 가치가 공유되고 도덕적 주체의 성품이 형성되며, 그 실천의 방향성이 정의 실현을 위한 사회 참여로 이어져야 한다는 래리 라스무센의 기독교윤리학 이론과 특성은 파편화된 관계성을 넘어서 새로운 생명의 관계성을 창출하는 데 도움이 될 것이다. 라스무센은 공동체가 사회적 관계성의 형태들이며 도덕적 삶의 물질적 현실이라고 이해한다. 하나님 경험에 근거한 교회 공동체가 도덕적 주체로서 정의를 지향하는 사회 참여로 나아가야 하며, 모든 생명의 번성함이란 사회 생태적 정의의 실현을 위한 공동체적 실천은 그의 매우 핵심적인 주장이다. 바로 이 실천을 위한 동력을 찾기 위해 라스무센은 금욕주의, 성례주의, 신비주의, 그리고 예언자적 해방 전통과 같은 기독교의 오랜 영성적 전통들을 재해석함으로써, 현대 사회의 지배적이고 폭력적인 흐름과 파편화된 관계성에 대한 대안적 삶의 방식을 제공하고자 한다. 라스무센의 기독교윤리학에 따르면, 교회는 도덕적인 성찰을 바탕으로 생명공동체의 공공선과 복지를 향한 실천의 주체로 자리매김해야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

This thesis raises the question of whether the church as a community of faith can form a moral agent and provide direction for moral practice in the present fragmented society. Larry Rasmussen’s Christian ethics serves as the focal point for this study. Rasmussen points out that norms and values are shared through community. In this sharing the character of a moral agent is formed and the direction of its practice should lead to social engagement for justice in making. This, in turn, will help to create new relationships of life. Rasmussen understands community as our social relatedness and the material reality of the moral life. The church community based on the experience of God must move toward justice-oriented social participation as a moral agent, and the communal practice for the realization of socio-ecological justice is his core argument for the prosperity of all life. To find a radical motivation for this practice, Rasmussen reinterprets the longstanding spiritual traditions of Christianity, such as asceticism, sacramentalism, mysticism, and the prophetic liberative tradition and tries to provide an alternative way of life against the dominant and violent streams and fragmented relationships of the current society. According to Rasmussen’s Christian ethics, the church should be positioned as an active agent of practice for the common good and welfare of the living community based on moral reflection.
