대학수학능력시험 국어 영역 선택과목 도입에 대한 고등학생의 인식 분석

국문 초록

이 연구는 2022학년도 수능 국어 영역에서 선택과목이 처음 도입됨에 따라 이에대한 학생들의 인식을 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 총 10개의 인터뷰 질문을 구성하였으며, 고등학교 3학년 학생 12명을 대상으로 개별 면담 방식을 활용하여 인터뷰를 진행하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 선택과목 결정 시 문법에 대한 선호도, 문항의 소요 시간, 등급이나표준점수의 유불리 등이 영향을 미쳤음을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 선택과목의 변경 가능성에 대해 4~5등급에 해당하는 학생들은 변경할 가능성이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 자신이 선택한 선택과목에 대해 대체적으로 만족하는 것으로 나타났으나, 언어와매체를 선택한 상위권 학생들이 더 큰 만족감을 보였다. 넷째, 선택과목 도입에 대해서, 선택권의 부여, 학습 부담 감소 등은 긍정적으로 평가하였으며, 선택과목 간의 유불리로 인한 형평성 문제, 새로운 수능 체재 변화에 적응해야 하는 어려움 등은 부정적으로 보았다. 이를 고려할 때, 선택과목 간의 유불리 문제를 해결하기 위한 노력과 선택과목의차별성이 드러나는 문항 구성, 표준점수 산출 방식과 같은 변화된 내용에 대한 안내가 지속적으로 이루어질 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

This study attempted to analyze students cognition of the elective subject as it was first introduced in the Korean language field of the 2022 CSAT. To this end, a total of 10 interview questions were organized, and interviews were conducted for 12 high school seniors using individual interview methods. The results are as follows: First, the preference for grammar and the time required to answer questions significantly influenced students’ selection of elective subjects Second, it was found that students in grades 4 to 5 could change the possibility of changing the elective subject. Third, it was found that interviewed studetns were generally satisfied with the elective subjects, but the students with high grades who chose language and media showed greater satisfaction. Fourth, the positive aspects of the introduction of elective courses were that students could choose their elective courses and their chosen courses helped reduce the learning burden, and it was negative that it was a problem of equity due to the difficulty of adapting to changes in the new CSAT system and disadvantages between elective subjects. Considering this, it is necessary to continuously expend efforts to ensure the students are equally scored despite having chosen different elective subjects, compose questions that reveal the difference between elective subjects, and develop standard score calculation methods.
