국문 초록

본 연구는 디지털 시대에 따른 색의 표준화에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 코로나 19에 의해 언택트 생활패턴으로 전환되면서 디지털 문명에 더욱 의존하게 되었는데 색의 분야에 있어서도 기존의 색에 대한 정의와 디지털 시대에 있어서 색의 개념도 달라졌다. 이러한 색의 변화와 아울러 우리가 속한 문화와 밀접한 관계를 맺고 있는 한국의 전통색인 오방색은 디지털 시대에 맞추어 표준화가 이루어져 있는지 살펴보았다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 색은 침묵의 언어이기 때문에 컬러마케팅 전략을 세우기 위해서는 색의 3속성에 대해 정확하게 이해하고 선택하여야 한다. 둘째, 색이 갖는 고유의 이미지는 사회적·역사적으로 형성된 상징과 의미를 표현하기 때문에 그에 맞는 색을 선택하여야 한다. 셋째, 색은 인간의 내면과 정서를 반영하는 것이기 때문에 색의 심리적 특성을 부여하여 사용하여야 한다. 넷째, 디지털 시대에 있어서 무한정에 가까운 색의 범위는 현재 표준화와 코드화가 이루어져 있으나 한국 전통의 색상인 오방색에 대한 정확한 작업은 이루어지지 않고 있는 실정이다. 이는 오방색의 경우 사용하는 매개체 질감에 따라 색감이 다르게 느껴지기 때문에 재질의 사용성과 시인성의 확보를 위해 각 매개체에 대한 적절한 색상코드를 부여하는 작업이 필요하다.

영문 초록

This study was to investigate the standardization of color according to the digital age. As COVID-19 turns into an untact lifestyle, we have become more dependent on digital civilization. This paper study the definition of the existing color and the concept of color changed in the digital age. In addition, it was examined whether the five cardinal colors, a traditional Korean color closely related to the culture to which we belong, were standardized in line with the digital age. the results are as follow. First, since color is a language of silence, it is necessary to correctly understand and select the three attributes of color in order to establish a color marketing strategy. Second, since the unique image of color expresses symbols and meanings formed socially and historically, an appropriate color should be selected. Third, color should be used with the psychological characteristics of color because it reflects the inner world and emotions of human beings. Fourth, in the digital age, the range of colors close to infinity is standardized and coded, but accurate work on the five colors, the traditional colors of Korea, has not been performed. In the case of the five traditional colors, colors feel different depending on the texture of the medium used, so it is necessary to give each medium an appropriate color code to secure the usability and visibility of the material.
