국문 초록

본 연구는 노인의 지역사회 물리적 환경 만족이 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향에 대해 분석하며 이 과정에서 주관적 이웃관계와사회참여의 이중 매개효과를 검증하는 것을 연구목적으로 하고 있다. 이를 위해 2019년 지역사회건강조사를 활용하여 전국 만 65세이상 74세 이하 노인(N=30,531)에 해당하는 자료를 추출하여 활용하였다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 지역사회 물리적 환경 만족은삶의 만족도에 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 둘째, 지역사회 물리적 환경 만족이 삶의 만족에 미치는 영향에 있어서 주관적이웃관계와 사회참여는 각각 부분매개효과가 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 마지막으로 지역사회 물리적 환경 만족이 삶의 만족도에 미치는영향 관계에 있어서 주관적 이웃관계와 사회참여의 이중 매개효과는 통계적으로 유의미하게 나타났다. 즉 지역사회 물리적 환경에만족할수록 주관적 이웃관계가 개선되고 이를 통해 노인의 사회참여가 증가하여 삶의 만족도가 증가하게 되는 것으로 해석할 수 있다. 이와 같은 연구결과를 토대로 지역사회에서 이웃관계가 노인에게 미치는 영향에 대해 제고하며 이웃관계를 통해 사회참여를 이끌어내는것에 주목한다. 이를 통해 노년기에 새로운 역할을 통해 긍정적인 자아상을 확립하고 만족스러운 노년을 보내는데 논의하고 제언하였다.

영문 초록

This study was conducted is to analyze the effect of satisfaction with community physical environment on life satisfaction among the elderly and to identify whether neighborhood relationships and social participation had double mediating effects. To this end, data about 30,531 people aged 65-74 from around the country was take from the results of a 2019 community health survey. The analysis results were as follows. First, satisfaction with community physical environment had a positive effect on life satisfaction. Second, subjective neighborhood relationships and social participation both had partial effects on the effect of satisfaction with community physical environment on life satisfaction. Third, the double mediating effects of subjective neighborhood relationships and social participation on the effect of satisfaction with community physical environment on life satisfaction were statistically significant. These results indicate that satisfaction with community physical environment improves subjective neighborhood relationships, which in turn increases their social participation, which in turn increases life satisfaction among the young elderly. These results indicate that efforts should be made up to improve the young elderly relationships in their neighborhoods to induce them to participate in social activities. These efforts can help the young elderly to establish a new role for themselves, improving their self-image, which would ultimately improve their satisfaction in old age.
