간호사의 노인 간호의도에 미치는 영향요인

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 간호사의 노인 간호의도에 미치는 영향요인을 파악하기 위함이다. 연구대상자는 D시와 C시 병원에 근무하며노인에게 직접 돌봄을 제공하는 간호사 160명이다. 자료수집 기간은 2020년 10월 1일부터 10월 8일까지이다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS/WIN 26 프로그램을 이용하여 기술통계, Mann-Whitney U test, Pearson’s Correlation Coefficient, Hierarchical Multiple Regression으로 분석하였다. 연구결과, 자기효능감(r=.48, p<.001), 공감능력(r=.18, p=.025), 의사소통 능력(r=.27, p=.001), 일의 의미(r=.42, p<.001) 모두 노인간호의도와 유의미한 상관관계가 있었다. 또한 자기효능감이 높고(β=.41, p<.001), 일의 의미를 긍정적으로 느낄수록(β=.31, p=.001) 노인 간호의도가 높게 나타났으며 설명력은 42%(Adj R2=.42)였다(F=12.37, p<.001). 자기효능감과 일의 의미는 간호사의 노인 간호의도를증진시키기 위한 유용한 간호교육 중재가 될 수 있다. 또한 간호사의 노인 간호의도 향상을 위해서 40세 이하이면서 임상경력 10년이하의 미혼인 일반간호사를 대상으로 노인 간호의도 저해요인에 대한 조사가 필요하다. 따라서 간호사를 대상으로 노인 간호의도를높일 수 있는 교육 프로그램을 개발하는 다차원적인 노력이 필요하다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to identify the factors influencing care willingness towards older adults in nurses. This study was a descriptive correlation study. The participants were 160 nurses in South Korea. Data were collected in October 2020 and analyzed using independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple regression analysis with the SPSS/WIN 26.0 program. Care willingness towards the elderly positively correlated with self-efficacy (r=.48, p<.001), empathy ability (r=.18, p=.025), communication ability (r=.27, p=.001), and meaning of work (r=.42, p<.001). The hierarchical multiple regression analysis showed that the model with two independent variables of self-efficacy (β=.41, p<.001) and meaning of work (β=.31, p=.001) explained the 42% in care willingness towards the elderly (F=12.37, p<.001). Findings indicate that self-efficacy and meaning of work could be considered as a useful nursing education intervention to improve care willingness towards older adults in nurses. In addition, in order to improve care willingness towards older adults among nurses, it is necessary to investigate and explore the factors hindering care willingness towards older adults among unmarried staff nurses who are under 40 years of age and have less than 10 years of clinical experience. Therefore, multidimensional efforts are needed to develop educational programs to increase willingness towards older adults among nurses.
