한문산문 연구에 관한 몇 가지 제안

국문 초록

최근 한문학 분야에서는 한문산문 작품의 미학성과 한문산문 비평론에 대한 연구가 대단히 활발하다. 고문·소품·의고문과 같은 문체 개념과 그 변이 양상에 대한 연구가 축적되었고, 한문산문이 지닌 주제별 연구도 시작되었다. 본고는 기왕의 학문연구의 축적을 바탕으로 앞으로 한문산문 연구가 나아가야할 방향에 대하여 몇 가지 제안을 하고자 한다. 한문산문 연구는 산문의 문예성을 탐구하는 방향과 더불어, 우리나라의 고유한 한문문체를 보다 넓고 큰 시각에서 분류하고, 정통 한문과 구별되는 변격 한문의 특성을 밝히는 한편, 한문산문에 고유어휘와 고유표현을 사용하는 방식에 대해 고찰할 필요가 있다. 한문산문을 다룰 때는 글 내부의 편장구조만을 설명하는데 그치지 말고, 문맥적 이해와 평가적 이해로 나아가야 할 것이다. 이때 특히 문맥적 이해가 중요하다. 문맥적 이해란 글이 놓여있는 문맥에 대한 이해를 의미한다. 곧, 찬자·독자의 관계, 사회역사적 맥락, 지성사의 흐름 등에 대한 종합적 이해를 의미한다. 한문산문을 연구하려면 출판과 轉寫, 감상과 비평에 대한 문화사적 연구를 통하여 그것이 창작되고 유통된 맥락을 조망하여야 한다. 특히 한문산문은 고립된 장르나 양식으로 존재한 것이 아니라, 예술세계의 총체성 속에서 다른 장르·양식과 주제 및 기법면에 서로 영향을 끼치고, 한문산문 내의 여러 문체들이 서로 교섭하면서, 역동적으로 전개되어 왔다. 따라서 한문산문의 역사적 가치를 논하기 위해서는 예술세계의 총체성과 역동성에 주목할 필요가 있다고 본다.

영문 초록

Recently, in the field of Chinese classics esthetics and criticism of prose style works are vigorously arisen. The studies of stylish notions like classics(古文), literary sketches(小品), imitation of classics(擬古文) and of aspects of transition of those ideas piled up enough. Also studying of subjects included in proses. This article is about to suggest several visions directions for the studying prose style of Chinese writing based on accumulated studies before. The studies for prose works should be head toward searching for the artistic in proses, classifying Korea s unique styles in wider visions, also figuring out the characteristics of variant works distinguished from classical ones, and speculating the usage of native words and expressions in Chinese classic works. In handling of prose works, we should not only analyze the inherent structure of work, but also expand our understanding contextually, evaluatively, and hermeneutically. Especially, contextual understanding, which means understanding for exterior context of certain work, is important. That is, it is necessary to understand for relationship between editors and readers, socia-historical context, and current of thought. Studying prose works, contextual understanding for creation and spreading of publication-transcription, impression-criticism is required through inquirying history of Chinese writing literature. Definitely Chinese writing prose works not existed as a isolated format or genre, but dynamically expanded through the interchanges of subjective and stylish factors among interior and exterior genre mutually in the sense of whole artistics. Therefore we should notice dynamics and wholeness of artistic circle so that we can discuss the historical value of Chinese writing prose works.
