안성의 어제와 오늘과 내일

국문 초록

본고는 안성의 어제와 오늘을 문화‧예술적 관점에서 개관하고 미래를 예측하고자 한다. 안성의 어제는 임진왜란 의병 근거지이자 일제강점기 속 격렬한 만세운동의 도시, 즉 반골기질의 역사라 할 수 있다. 이러한 역사 속에서 안성에서는 문화‧예술적으로 남사당패와 안성유기가 꽃피웠다. 남사당패의 전설적인 꼭두쇠 바우덕이는 안성의 오늘에 남아 ‘안성바우덕이축제’로 전승되어, 세계의 축제로 공식적으로 인정받고 있다. 안성유기 또한 일제강점기와 한국전쟁으로 인해 수난을 겪었지만, 중요 무형문화재 제77호로 등재되어 맥을 이어나가고 있다. 조선시대의 문신들, 100명 가까이 되는 삼일 만세운동에 참가한 민초들, 근대문학 초기의 안국선‧안막‧안회남, 여러 분야의 영화감독과 작곡가, 코미디언과 더불어 안성의 문학을 풍요롭게 만든 안성 출신의 문인들을 우선은 안성이 낳은 인물로 언급한다. 안성은 한반도 역사를 관통하는 문화재와 사적지를 지닌 도시이다. 풍요한 문화‧예술적 자원을 기반으로 한 각종 문학관과 기념관 또한 설립되어 있다. 하지만 현재 철로나 지하철이 들어서지 않아 교통이 불편한 실정이다. 교통 접근성이 만족되어 관광지로 개발된다면, 안성의 미래는 그야말로 한국의 안성맞춤 도시가 될 것이다.

영문 초록

This paper aims to provide an overview of Anseong yesterday and today from a cultural and artistic point of view and predict the future. Yesterday in Anseong can be said to be a base for voluntary soldiers during the Imjin War and a city of fierce national independence movement during the Japanese colonial period, that is, the history of unyielding temperament. In this history, Namsadangpae(traveling entertainers) and Anseong Yugi(brassware) blossomed culturally and artistically in Anseong. The legendary Baudeogi of Namsadangpae remains in Anseong today and is handed down as the ‘Anseong Baudeogi Festival’, and is officially recognized as a festival around the world. Anseong Yugi also suffered hardships due to the Japanese colonial rule and the Korean War, but it has been registered as Important Intangible Cultural Heritage No. 77 and continues its legacy. The civil minister of the Joseon Dynasty, the people who participated in the 3.1 Independence Movement of nearly 100 people, Ahn Guk-seon, Anmak, and Ahn Hoe-nam in the early days of modern literature, film directors, composers, and comedians in various fields, and writers from Anseong enriched Anseong’s history. Anseong is a city with cultural properties and historic sites that penetrate the history of the Korean Peninsula. Various literary halls and memorial halls based on abundant cultural and artistic resources have also been established. However, there are currently no railways or subways, so transportation is inconvenient. If transportation accessibility is satisfied and it is developed as a tourist destination, the future of Anseong will be the perfect city for Korea.
