중도중복장애학생 담당 순회교사의 직무 수행 경험에 대한 질적 연구

국문 초록

이 연구는 중도중복장애학생을 담당하는 순회교사를 심층면담하여 직무 수행 관련 경험을 알아보고 개선 요구를 알아보기 위해 수행되었다. 연구 참여자들은 특수학교, 중·고등학교 특수학급, 특수교육지원센터에서 순회교사로 근무하거나 근무했던 교사였다. 중도·중복장애학생 담당 순회교사가 경험하는 어려움은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 순회교육은 충분한 사전 준비 없이 시작되는 경우가 많았다. 둘째, 순회교육이 아직 정착되지 않아 순회교육 운영 방식이 기관마다 일관성 없이 운영되고 있었다. 셋째, 중도중복장애학생을 지원하는 순회교사는 수업의 어려움뿐만 아니라 학생관리, 가족지원 등 다양한 지원영역에서 어려움을 겪고 있었다. 중도중복장애학생 담당 순회교사가 인식하는 순회교육 개선 방안은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 순회교육이 변방에서 주류로 변화하기 위해서는 순회교육에 필요한 적정 학생수와 수업일수의 변화, 교사 차량지원과 출장비 현실화, 특수교사 충원, 교실 제공이 필요하였다. 둘째, 순회교육의 질을 높이기 위해서는 특수교사 양성과정에서 순회교육에 대한 교육 강화, 교사 연수 및 다양한 교수법 적용이 필요하였다. 이 연구 결과는 중도중복장애학생 순회교육 지원에 대한 기초자료를 제공한다는 데 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This study was conducted to in-depth interviews with the itinerant teachers in charge of students with severe and multiple disabilities to find out the difficulties related to job performance and to find out the needs for improvement. Participants in the study were teachers who are working or worked as itinerant teachers in special schools, special classes in middle and high schools, and special education support centers. The difficulties experienced by the itinerant teacher in charge of students with severe and multiple dis-abilities are as follows. First, itinerary teaching often began without sufficient prior preparation. Second, the itinerant teaching was not settled, so the method of itinerant teaching was inconsistently operated by each institution. Third, it was found that the itinerant teachers who support students with severe and multiple disabilities had diffi-culties in various support areas such as student management and family support. The following is a plan to improve itinerant teaching recognized by the itinerant teacher in charge of students with severe and multiple disabilities. First, it was necessary to change the appropriate number of students and class days required for itinerant teaching, to support teachers vehicle and realize vehicle expenses, fill in special teachers, and pro-vide classrooms space. Second, in order to improve the quality of itinerant teaching, it was necessary to strengthen education on itinerant teaching at the university, train teachers, and apply various teaching methods in the process of training special teachers. The results of this study are meaningful in that they provide basic data on support for itinerant teaching for students with severe and multiple disabilities.
