장애영아 조기중재 제공자의 경험과 지원 요구

국문 초록

본 연구는 장애영아 조기중재의 질적 향상을 위한 방안을 모색하고자, 장애영아 조기중재 제공자의 조기중재에 대한 경험과 지원 요구를 이해하는 데에 목적이 있다. 연구참여자는 장애아 전문 보육기관과 특수교육지원센터 영아 지원실에 근무하는 장애영아 조기중재 제공자 7명이 참여하였다. 본 연구의 면담은 반구조화된 개별면담으로 진행되었고, 자료수집과 분석은 질적연구접근에 의해 이루어졌다. 연구결과, 첫째, 조기중재를 위한 제공자들의 노력 에서는 장애영아의 특성을 반영한 프로그램 운영, 가족 중심 접근 지원, 다영역 전문가들의 협력적 서비스 제공, 장애영아에게 적합한 진단 평가 적용이 핵심적 활동으로 나타났다. 둘째, 장애영아 조기중재 제공자들의 당면한 어려움으로, 장애영아를 위한 국가 수준의 교육과정 및 지침 부재, 지역사회 전문기관과의 연계체제 미흡, 장애영아를 위한 진단 평가 기준 및 도구 제시의 미비가 나타났다, 셋째, 성공적인 조기중재를 위한 지원 요구에는 장애영아의 특수교육 혜택을 위한 지원 확대, 조기중재 제공자들을 위한 직무 환경 개선으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과에 기반하여 장애영아 조기중재의 질적 향상을 위한 시사점을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to understand the providers experiences and support needs of early intervention providers for infants with disabilities in oder to improve the quality of early intervention for infants with disabilities. The participants were seven early intervention providers who worked at child care centers specializing in infants with disabilities and the infant support centers of the Special Education Support Centers. Interviews were conducted with semi-structured individual interviews, and the data col-lection and analysis were conducted by qualitative research approach. According to the results of the study, first, in providers efforts for early intervention, the core activities were to operate programs that reflected the characteristics of infants with disabilities, support family-oriented approaches, provide cooperative services for multi-regional ex-perts, and apply appropriate diagnostic evaluations to infants with disabilities. Second, due to the immediate difficulties of early intervention providers for infants with dis-abilities, the lack of national-level curricula and guidelines for infants with disabilities, insufficient connectivity with community institutions, insufficient diagnostic evaluation criteria and tools for infants with disabilities, and third, the demand for support for suc-cessful early intervention showed increased support for special education benefits for in-fants with disabilities and improved the working environment for early intervention providers. Based on these results, suggestions were made to improve the quality of early intervention for infants with disabilities.
