장애이해 동극활동이 일반유아의 장애수용태도와 공감능력에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

이 연구는 장애이해 동극활동이 일반유아의 장애 수용태도와 공감능력에 미치는 영향에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 이 연구는 만 4세의 50명의 유아를 대상으로 하였다. 장애 유아를 직접 경험한 적이 없는 유아들로 25명의 유아들을 실험집단으로 그리고 25명의 유아들을 통제집단으로 하여 실시하였다. 연구 기간은 예비검사, 사전검사, 실험처치, 사후검사로 총 10주간 진행되었고, 연구방법은 여섯 분야의 장애영역(시각장애, 청각장애, 지체장애, 자폐성장애, 정신지체, 의사소통장애)과 관련된 어린이 동화책 두 권씩을 선정하여 총 12권의 책으로 12회기의 동극활동을 수행하였다. 자료 처리는 사후 검사 후 유아의 응답을 점수화 한 후 SPSS 16.0을 활용하여 통계적 분석을 실시하였고, 또한 장애이해 동극활동을 한 집단과 하지 않은 집단 간의 장애수용태도와 공감능력의 차이가 유의한지 분석하기 위해 종속표본 t검증을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 장애이해 동극활동이 일반유아의 장애수용태도에 미치는 영향을 분석한 결과 장애수용태도에 유의한 차이가 나타났고(t =21.92, P = .000), 또한 장애이해 동극활동이 일반유아의 공감 능력에 미치는 영향을 분석한 결과공감능력에 유의한 차이가 나타났다는 것을 알 수 있었다 (t = 5.09, p = .000)

영문 초록

This study aimed to investigate children’s dramatizing activities with a theme of disability on the disability acceptance attitude and the empathic ability of young children without disability. This study was targeted to 50 kids on Four-year-old. Subjects were an experimental group of 25 children a control and group of 25 children who had never experienced young children with disabilities. The research period was a total of 10 weeks from a preliminary test through pre-test and experimental treatment to post-test. As for the research method, a total of 12 books, two volumes of children’s fairy tale books related to six areas of disabilities (Visual, aural, physical disability, autistic disorder, mental retardation, communication disorders) were selected and 12 sessions of children’s dramatizing activities were conducted. For data treatment, after the post-test, scoring the responses of the young children, a statistical analysis using SPSS 16.0, and to analyze whether the disability acceptance attitude and empathic ability between the two groups would be significant, a dependent samples t-test was conducted. The results of the study are summarized as follows. As a result, there were significant differences in the impacts of children’s dramatizing activities with a theme of disability on young children without disability (t = 21.92, p = .000), and it was found that there were significant differences in the impacts of children’s dramatizing activities with a theme of disability on the empathic ability of young children without disability (t = 5.09, p = .000)
