영문 초록

In this study, a comparative analysis was conducted through an online survey on four countries such as Korea, Japan, China, and Germany for the purpose of understanding a present condition for Korea’s awareness of wood culture. The investigation was carried out by four indicators: level of interest, living environment, living culture, and education, which were quantified numerically and then comparative analyzed with each country. As a result, Korea was about 10.9% higher in the level of interest than the remaining three countries, but other indicators of living environment, living culture, and education were about 16.7% lower than Germany and China, Korea was found that about 5.0% higher than Japan. It was suggested that in order to improve the awareness of wood culture, it is necessary to provide an institutional strategy for promoting wood culture.
