생명윤리의식 척도 개발 및 타당화

국문 초록

본 연구는 생명윤리의식을 구성하는 하위요소를 파악하고 이를 측정하는 척도를 개발하는 것이 목적이 있다. 이 목적을 달성하기 위해 생명윤리적 의사결정 모델을 도출하고 2차에 걸친 전문가델파이로 구성된 김승주(2021)의 예비문항을 바탕으로 요인구조를 밝혀 범주화하고 타당도를 확보하였다. 먼저 예비조사에서 서울, 경기, 충청, 경상, 전라권에 거주하는 대학생과 주로 가톨릭 재단 기관 및 시설에 종사자 513명의 응답을 탐색적 요인분석하여 문항의 요인구조를 밝혔는데 최종적으로 ‘생명의료윤리’ 요인, ‘생명존중윤리’ 요인, ‘생명공학윤리’ 요인, 총 3개의 요인 35개의 문항이 묶였다. 다음 본 연구에서 확인적 요인분석을 위해 2차 설문조사를 시행하였는데, 이때 준거타당도 평가를 위해 이영숙(1990)이 개발하고 권선주(2003)가 재구성한 생명윤리의식척도를 추가로 사용하였다. 2차 설문조사는 서울, 충청, 경상, 전라권에 거주하는 대학생과 주로 가톨릭 재단 기관 및 시설에 종사자 360명의 응답을 바탕으로 AMOS21.0을 이용하여 최대우도법을 사용한 확인적 요인분석을 실시하였다. 이에 두 문항이 정제되어 최종 33문항이 구성되었다. 본 연구는 생명수호의 중요성을 늘 인식하면서도 생명윤리의식을 측정하는 척도 개발과 타당화 연구는 거의 찾아 볼 수 없었던 상황에서 어떤 변인들이 생명윤리의식을 높이는지 등을 고민할 때 객관적인 측정방법을 제시할 수 있으며, 사전-사후 검사를 통해 생명윤리교육의 효과성을 하위요소별로 입증하여 교육의 방향성을 재정립하고 질을 제고하는 데에 도움이 될 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to develop and validate a scale to measure Bioethics Awareness. After that, the first questionnaire survey was conducted on college students and mainly the workers in Catholic Foundation social welfare institutions and facilities, and 528 questionnaires were collected after distributing 550 copies. Based on these results, the factor structure of the items was found through exploratory factor analysis and finally, 35 items were tied to three factors: biomedical ethics , life respect ethics , and biotechnology ethics factors. For this purpose, the questionnaires were constructed based on the extracted items and then the second questionnaires were conducted. In this case, we used additional Bioethics Awareness Scale developed by Lee(1990) and reconstructed by Kwon(2003) to carry out a concurrent validity assessment. The second questionnaire survey was conducted on college students living in Seoul, Chungcheong, Gyungsang, Jeonra areas and mainly the workers in Catholic Foundation social welfare institutions and facilities, and 371 questionnaires were collected after distributing 400 copies. Based on the results, Confirmatory factor analysis using maximum likelihood method was performed with AMOS21.0. As a result, the two items were refined and the final 33 items were composed. Almost all people are always aware of the sanctity of life, but there are few scale development and validation studies to measure the consciousness of bioethics. Under this circumstance, this study was able to provide an objective measure of what variables would increase the consciousness of bioethics and will help to reestablish the direction of education and improve quality of education by proving the effectiveness of bioethics education by sub - factors through pre and post test.
