국문 초록

본 논문은 중도입국 청소년 중 러시아어권 동포 청소년을 대상으로 그들의 한국 문화 적응 양상과 적응 과정을 한국어교육의 관점에서 탐색하고, 선행 연구 결과를 분석하여 이들을 위한 한국 문화 적응 프로그램을 개발의 시급함과 중요성을 지적하고자 하였다. 선행 연구 분석 결과 그동안 국제이민자의 문화 적응과 관련한 국내 연구들은 크게 사회과학 분야 심리, 상담, 다문화의 관점과, 교육일반·교육행정의 관점, 한국어 교육학의 세 가지 관점에서 진행되어 왔다. 한국어 교육의 관점에서 문화 적응의 문제를 다룬 연구는 외국인 학습자의 문화 적응 양상을 다룬 연구와 문화 적응을 측정하는 도구로 문화 적응 스트레스와 다른 변인과의 관계를 밝히는 연구들이 대부분이었다. 하지만 국내 체류 재외동포의 문화 적응 관련 연구는 대개 사회과학 일반에서 주로 진행되었고, 러시아어권 동포 청소년을 비롯해 국내 체류 동포들의 문화 적응에 관한 연구가 한국어교육의 관점에서 진행된 경우는 찾기 어려웠다. 이 같은 문제의식 하에 본 연구에서는 국내 체류 중인 고려인과 사할린 교포 청소년들을 대상으로 양적 및 질적 연구를 병행하여 그들의 한국어 학습과 한국문화 적응의 어려움, 요구 사항 등을 파악하고 그들의 문화 적응 과정을 진단하여 이들의 한국어학습과 한국문화 적응을 도울 수 있는 한국 문화 적응프로그램 개발이 시급함을 확인할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

This study was designed to explore the aspects of Korean acculturation and adaptation process from the perspective of Korean language education as a foreigner, targeting Russian-speaking youth among middle-age immigrants, and to develop a Korean culture adaptation program for them based on the research results. Domestic prior studies related to the cultural adaptation of international immigrants have been largely conducted from three perspectives: psychology, counseling, and multicultural perspectives in the social sciences, general education/educational administration, and Korean language education. Here, a series of studies related to the cultural adaptation of migrants and overseas Koreans were considered from the perspective of Korean education. However, it was confirmed that studies related to cultural adaptation of overseas Koreans residing in Korea, which this paper intends to focus on, are mainly conducted in the social sciences, including psychology, counseling, and multicultural studies. In addition, the limitations of existing studies in that they measure the pattern of acculturation and analyze the relationship between the scale of acculturation and Korean language learning, or that the research results are too generalized or subjective, can be pointed out as limitations. With this awareness in mind, in this study, quantitative and qualitative research was conducted on Korean and Sakhalin adolescents residing in Korea to identify the difficulties and requirements of their Korean language learning and adaptation to Korean culture, and diagnose their cultural adaptation process. He pointed out the urgent need to develop a Korean culture adaptation program that can help students learn Korean and adapt to Korean culture.
