초등학교 3학년 학생들의 발명 관련 독서 활동이 창의적 능력과 창의적 성격에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

이 연구는 초등학교 3학년 학생들의 발명 관련 독서 활동이 창의적 능력과 창의적 성격에 미치는 영향을 알아보고, 창의력 교육의 한 영역으로서 독서 지도에 대한 지도 방안을 모색하고자 하는 것이다. 연구를 위하여 S시 H 초등학교 3학년 학생 60명을 실험집단과 통제집단으로 나누어, 통합 창의성 검사지로 사전 검사를 실시한 후 실험집단은 발명 관련 독서 활동을, 통제집단은 자유 재량활동을 실시하여 사후 검사 결과를 비교 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 실험집단은 통제집단에 비해서 창의적 능력 하위 요소 중 유창성과 창의적 성격의 하위 요소 중 호기심이 통계적으로 유의미하게 향상되었다. 그리고 남·여 학생 성별에 따른 창의적 능력 변화에서 남학생은 전체적으로 향상되었으며, 창의적 능력의 하위 요소 중 유창성과 융통성이 향상되었다. 따라서 초등학교 3학년 학생들에게 발명 관련 독서 활동을 지속적으로 실시한다면, 학생들의 창의적 능력과 창의적 성격 일정 부문의 향상에 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate effects of invention-related reading activities in creative abilities and creative personalities of elementary 3rd grade students and to think about proper instruction methods on reading activities for the creative development education. The participants were 30 3rd grade students from H elementary school in S city. The participants were divided into an experimental group and a control group. A preliminary inspection on integrated creativity was performed with a check list. Afterwards, the students in the experimental group performed reading activities related to the invention for six weeks, and a comparative analysis of the results of the post test was conducted. As a result, the experimental group improved in creative ability and fluency. Creative personalities were higher in the experimental group than in the control group, and there was also a higher improvement in curiosity in the experimental group than in the control group. By gender, male students showed greater improvement in creative abilities as well as in fluency and flexibility. Therefore, continuous reading activities related to the invention in 3rd grade students will be able to improve certain parts of the students creative abilities and creative personalities.
