원도심 상업가로의 물리적 특성과 20대 여성의 범죄 불안감 관계 연구

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 노상범죄가 많은 원도심 상업가로에서 유형별 범죄발생 지점과 물리적 환경, 범죄취약 계층인 20대 여성의 범죄 불안감을 종합적으로분석하였다. 분석 결과 원도심 상업가로에서 가장 불안하게 인식하는 범죄는성범죄와 같은 대인범죄로 나타났다. 연구 대상지인 원도심은 쇠퇴로 인해 증가하는 빈 점포와 범죄 발생이 용이하거나 불안감을 유발하는 좁은 골목길, 어둡고 인적이 드문 공간들이 산재해 있는 것이 확인되었다. 범죄자료 분석결과 가로 폭이 넓은 곳의 근린생활시설 주변에서 노상범죄가 많이 발생하였고, 공간분석 결과 통합도(r=3)가 높은 곳이 대상지의 중심구역이며, 통합도가 낮은 곳은 대인범죄, 통합도가 높은 곳은 대물범죄가 많은 것이 확인되었다. 설문결과 상업가로 방문객이 많아지면 범죄 불안감이 낮아지고, 지역 환경이 열악하고 지저분하면 범죄 불안감은 높아진다는 인식이 많았지만 코로나전/후의 불안감 차이는 없는 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 범죄 불안감이 높은 지점(가로)을 종속변수로 설정하고 다중회귀분석을 진행한 결과 CCTV 개수, D/H비가 유의미한 독립변수로 나타났다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to explore crime locations in commercial streets of old downtown where street crimes frequently occur with its physical environment by type of crime and the fear of crime from women who are vulnerable to the crimes. The results showed the type of crime which women feel most anxious about in commercial streets of old downtown is a street crime such as sex crime. It also indicated that the targeted old town has possible risk factors to increase crime frequency or to create anxiety such as the narrow alley, dark place off the beaten path, and the empty stores caused by the decline of community. The result of crime data analysis indicated that the rates of street crime are high around neighborhood facilities where their width is wide. Also, the spatial analysis showed that the central zone of the target area is where the integration(r=3) is high. It also showed that the rate of personal crime is high in the place where the integration is low, otherwise, the rate of theft is high in the place where the integration is high. The questionnaire results demonstrated that people feel less fear of crimes with the more visitors, meanwhile the more poor and unclean areas, the more fear of crimes. However, there was no difference in the fear of crimes before and after COVID-19. Also, the multiple regression analysis with setting the spot(width) where the fear of crime is high as the dependent variable showed the valid independent variables including the number of D/H ratio, the number of the surveillance camera, and the number of crime occurrence.
