국문 초록

근현대 전승된 경기무악은 지역과 음악 특징에 따라 남양제, 광주제, 동령제, 안산제가 있다. 이 중에서 남양제 경기무악은 장만용이 창시하여 세습무가인 남양 장씨들로부터 150년간 전승되어왔고 이를 해금악사인 임선문이 전승받았다. 따라서 임선문은 남양제 경기무악을 유일하게 이어받아 ‘경기무악’ 음원으로 남겼다. 본 연구는 남양제 경기무악의 최고봉이라고 할 수 있는 음원을 채보하여 긴염불부터 당악까지의 음악적 특징을 총체적으로 분석하였다. 그 결과, 경기무악의 변별성을 판단할 수 있는 실마리를 찾게 되었다. 임선문의 경기도 굿 음악은 경기 남부와 서북부를 포함한 경기도 전역의 음악적 특징을 고루 갖추었다고 할 수 있다. 긴염불, 반염불은 경기도 남부 지역에서 나타나는 육자배기토리의 특성을 가지며 허튼타령, 자진허튼타령, 삼현도 드리는 경기도 서북부 지역의 소리와 연관이 있는 반경토리에 가깝다. 또한 굿거리, 자진굿거리는 전형적인 경토리의 특성이 뚜렷하게 나타난다. 당악의 음악적 특색은 ‘도-레-미-솔-라’의 신경토리이며 반경토리 특징 중 하나인 ‘도’ 퇴성이 나타난다. 임선문의 경기무악은 주제선율을 다양하게 변형, 반복하는 즉흥성을 가지고 있으며, 굿거리 계통에서는 경기무가 계열 창부타령의 선율을 차용하였다. 이러한 점이 타 경기무악과는 다른 남양제의 고유한 특성으로 변별성을 갖추었다고 할 수 있다.

영문 초록

Gyeonggi muak, which has been handed down to modern times, is divided into Namyangje, Gwangjuje, Dongryeongje, and Ansanje, according to regional and musical characteristics. Among them, Namyangje Gyeonggi muak was found by Jang Man-yeong and handed down to the Namyang Jang’s hereditary shamanistic clan for 150 years, until it was passed down to a haegeum player Im Seon-moon. Therefore, Im Seon-moon was the only musicion who inherited the Namyangje Gyeonggi muak. Im left a sound recording of Gyeonggi muak . This study transcribed the sound source, which can be claimed to be the highest record of Namyangje Gyeonggi muak, and analyzed the musical characteristics of 8 pieces: Ginyeombul, Banyeombul, Samhyeon dodeuri, Heoteun taryeong, Jajinheoten taryeong, Gutgeori, Jajingutgeori, and Dangak. As a result, a critical clue was found to determine the distinctiveness of Gyeonggi muak. It can be stated that Im Seon-moon s Gyeonggi shaman music has the musical characteristics of all parts of Gyeonggi-do. Ginyeombul and Banyeombul have the features of yukjabaegi tori that appears in the southern regions of Gyeonggi-do. Heoteun taryeong, Jajinheoteon taryeong, and Samhyeon dodeuri are close to Bangyeong tori, related to the sounds of the north western regions of Gyeonggi-do. Also, Gutgeori and Jajingutgeori clearly show the characteristics of typical Gyeong tori. The musical structures of Dangak are Sin-gyeongtori with a scale of ‘do-re-mi-sol-la’. Also, a flowing ornamental sound appears in ‘Do’ scale, which is one of the musical features of Bangyeong tori. Im Seon-moon s Gyeonggi muak has improvisational character, which changes and repeats the theme melody in various ways. In Gutgeori series, the melody of Changbutaryeong from Gyeonggi muak was borrowed. It can be noted that this is the unique feature of Namyangje, which is different from other Gyeonggi muak.
