국문 초록

주지하다시피, 금강하류지역 청동시기대의 중심 묘제는 복판식의 석관묘이다. 2000년대 초반 이와 공존하는 석개토광묘, 옹관묘 등이 소위 송국리형묘제로 설정된 이래, 최근에는 고인돌 역시 그러한 묘제 범위 속에서 이해되고 있다. 이처럼 각기 상이한 종류의 묘제형식에서 공유되는 몇 가지 속성들을 간추려 보면 송국리문화의 중신권역인 금강하류에서만 관찰되는 지역적 특수성과 문화권 전체에서 확인되는 보편성 등으로 구분된다. 그것은 각 묘제의 부장품 구성과도 연동되어 당시 사회의 매장풍습이나 묘제적 전통에 관여되었을 정신문화적 세계관, 즉 그들이 신앙하였을 종교적 가치관의 일면을 제한적이나마 추론케 한다. 본고에서는 고인돌과 석관묘의 매장주체부가 유사해지는 현상 그리고 지역 문화권 전체에서 보편적으로 확인되는 무덤 상부의 석개적 구조 등을 송국리형묘제의 주요 특징으로 파악하여, 그러한 묘제적 전통이 성립되는 과정에서의 사회적 의미를 찾고자 노력하였다.

영문 초록

As you noted, the main tomb system in the Bronze Age in the downstream region of the Geumgang River was the stone-lined tomb with multiple panels. Since the 2000s, pit-type tombs with a stone lid, jar-coffin tombs, etc., have been classified as the Songkukri-style tomb system. Recently, dolmens are recognized to belong to such a tomb system. Summarizing a few characteristics that can be shared for each different tomb system, they can be classified as regional particularities observed in the downstream region of the Geumgang River, a central zone of Songgukri Culture, and universal features found in the entire cultural zones. The tomb systems were also connected to the structure of burials in each system based on which we can restrictively assume some parts of mental and cultural beliefs of people, that is, religious sense of value that they believed in. This study is a preliminary review for a network analysis of the tomb systems in the Bronze Age. It noted two things as the main characteristics of the Songgukri-style tomb system: the similarities of the buried subjects in dolmens and stone-lined tombs and the stone-lid structure of the top of the tombs, the latter of which was commonly found in the entire regional culture zones. This study tried to find the social significance in the formation process of such tomb traditions.
